    ...From the Exalted Ruler

    September 2020

I hope everyone is staying cool. Our lodge is still closed but we can and are having outside events. We had a fantastic car show! Randy Branco worked really hard on this event and we really appreciate his efforts. Awesome job Randy! A BIG THANK YOU as well to all the volunteers as we couldn't of done this without you! There are still T-shirts available in the office for $20 each. Thank you so Sharon Shaw-Flores and her team for another successful drive thru dinner. Due to the extreme heat and the air quality our Movies On The Lawn night had to be canceled but we hope to schedule another one soon. Our Powder Puff Golf tournament is September 26th and I hope to see you all there. Remember to call or stop by the office to sign up and pay your entry fee. Payment does need to be paid at time of sign up. Our membership is growing! We had 20 new excited American citizens that believe in God join our lodge on August 16th. Another big thank you to John Rochon and Karen Paige for keeping the lodge running smooth. Also, thank you to our camp hosts Charlie and Diane Dolar for continuing to do a wonderful job during these trying times. On August 29th we will be having another flea market so come on out….One person's junk is another person’s treasure. Don’t forget we are still collecting bikes, helmets and cash donations to refurbish the bikes to give to children in need at Christmas. I experienced my first ZOOM meeting on Sunday, August 16th conducted by the Central DDGER Bob Beck. Leading Knight Eddie Wallace, Head Trustee Dave DiPiero and Secretary John Rochon were also in attendance. The PER association had their meeting via ZOOM and I attended that as well. Don’t forget to pay your dues if you haven’t. Be safe and keep the distance. Fraternally Yours, Charlene Johnson ER

We are collecting used bicycles (new is awesome too) and helmets to provide to children/families in need this Christmas. We are collecting now so that we have time to refurbish them if needed. We will be collecting until November and will sched-ule a weekend for volunteers to work on the bikes. The bikes will be distributed In December.

    Last Minutes Updates

Charlene Johnson, interim Exalted Ruler has resigned her position on

Tuesday, August 25, 2020 due to health and family reasons.

Due to location changes for our outdoor social quarters our COVID-19

outdoor liquor permit is no longer valid. We have to reapply for the

permit with the new location and obtain approval. Unfortunately, this

delays us reopening the outdoor social quarters.

Great news! We now have 50 amp service in sites 2 thru 7 in our RV

park. New rates for 50 amp service starting October 1, 2020 will be: $35

for members, $45 for visiting Elk members & $50 for non-members.

The rates for 30 amp service will stay the same: $25 for members, $40

for visiting Elk members and $40 for non-members.
