We’re on final approach! As we prepare for the start of the July 2014 term I wanted to provide you with an idea of who you can expect to see in the classroom later this month. We’ve put to-gether a diverse class for July 2014. We’re par-ticularly pleased that the partnership with ERC Institute will enable up to bring in international students, further enabling us to add diversity to our degree programs. Check out pages 4 & 5 for a snapshot of our incoming class.

In addition, I’m happy to report that our cur-rent students are hard at work putting the fin-ishing touches on our new student orientation program. Be sure you save-the-date of July 23rd and July 24th for new student orientation.

New student orientation is mandatory for all new students. Look for a special Orientation Newsletter in the next 2 weeks with details of the orientation program.

Just a few more weeks and you’ll all be Embry-Riddle Eagles! Welcome and get ready for a great start to University life!

Regards,

MATTHEW FLAHERTY EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, ENROLLMENT & CAMPUS OPERATIONS

The 12th through the 15th of June saw Embry-Riddle Asia to Malay-sia’s inaugural Subang International Air Carnival (SIAC) held at the new Subang Sky Park. The carnival, themed ‘Transforming Malaysia’s Aerospace Education and Career Opportunities’, featured more than 53 local and international aviation related companies. Some of the exhibitors included Firefly, Ma-lindo Air, Air Asia, the Malaysian Armed Forces, Bell Helicopters, MAS Wings, Hawker Pacific, and several aerospace academies and institutions. Other than the various booths and static displays of differ-ent civilian aircraft, the highlights of the SIAC were undoubtedly the aerial acrobats, the motorcycle acrobatic performance and the helicopter joy rides!

Despite sweltering weather at the Sky Park, a large number

of attendees still showed great interest in Embry-Riddle Asia and our programs, with ages ranging from primary school kids to working adults. It was refreshing for us to receive interest from people from different national and educational backgrounds. In addition, the Air Carnival was a great platform for us to meet with Embry-Riddle alumni from the residential campuses and we were proud to see them doing well in their lives with some running their own companies. We believe it is safe to say that we managed to raise awareness on Embry-Riddle and our campus in Singapore and we will be expecting familiar faces from the Air Carnival joining us in the future. We look forward to more opportunities like these as we expand Embry-Riddle Asia’s presence in the region.
