Give water to the thirsty and food to the
hungry. Jesus says that in so doing we do it
also for him.

The Rev. Dr. John A. Moulton will
be visiting Transfiguration the week-
end of August 13-14.
Dr. Moulton is one of the preach-
ers for Food for the Poor, an organi-
zation that raises funds for those
who are poor and who might other-
wise have no resource for food. He
will be preaching at both the 8 and
10:30 service.
We are looking for someone to
pick him up from the airport, some-
one to provide housing and dinner
and breakfast and get him, to church,
and someone to take him back to the
airport after church on Sunday.
Please call or email J.J. Boulin (301-
598-2331 or [email protected]) to
Dear Angela,
We are very excited for you as you prepare for your wedding day. We
know that you and Clint will be very happy. We send you our very best
wishes for a long and happy life together.
Many blessings,
The People of Transfiguration
Kathy Berry says:
The music by the Transfiguration choir and the musicians—Elton
King on organ, Precious Achikeh on violin, and Sarah Ingalls-Howard on
flute—was wonderful and very, very spiritual on Pentecost. (I think we all
agree.)
Val Grant, Jr. Warden Extraordinaire, thanks all the wonderful people
who participated in the clean up day on June 11.

The worship committee thanks the Altar Guild and the balloon bri-
gade—Charlene Blaine and niece, Karlyn Walker, Betty Boulin, and Ka-
ren Facen—for the wonderful set up for Pentecost.
Thanks also goes out to Gail Carter, Rosamond Daniels, and Victoria
Williams for the wonderful flower arrangements for Pentecost.
A special thanks to Grace Coward and Ruby Bracket for providing
sweet tea and sandwiches to all those who worked so hard that day.
