How to Find Contentment
2 Corinthians 12:10
“Therefore, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and constraints, for the sake of Christ; for when I am weak, then I am strong”.
Paul speaks of contentment while being insulted, persecuted and while living in hardships. Then he speaks of being weak as if it’s a good thing. Have you wondered how this works? How can we be content after being insulted or experience hardships? Contentment in adversity is available to all of us when we are dead to self and living in Christ. We must be willing to trust God with our lives—we must become weak. When we live in com-plete trust and love of God, it won’t matter what is happening around us—for it is on His shoulders. Wow! Take one day at a time. Read His Word and pray. Let God speak to you and listen to Him. Forgive everyone as He forgave you. It’s not healthy to be the god of your life, for that is the worst way to live and it leads to death. Living in Christ is amazing and you will notice a new joy. This is where the peace of God is found. Kim Lehman Adult Faith Formation--Communications

From Msgr. Frank Chiodo
Friends,
Please welcome Fr. Thomas Vellapallil, MS to St. Anthony this weekend. Here is some bio-
graphical information about Fr. Vellapallil.
I was born in India and spent the first four years after ordination working in the Philip-
pines. I have been ministering in the USA for over 20 years; first I was in ministry of education
and formation of seminarians and then pastoral ministry. I am now Director of the La Salette
Mission Center since January 2011, where my goal is to raise funds for La Salette Missionaries
working in poor and underdeveloped mission countries. It will be my pleasure to speak to you about the mission activity
of the Church and the La Salette Missionaries.
A reminder that BINGO will be on Friday July 13th in the parish hall. Doors open at 5:00pm, early bird starts at 6:30pm
and bingo starts at 7. There will be food options available for purchase. Also there will be free child care starting at
6:30pm in the lower church. All are welcome. Come and enjoy a fun filled evening.
Blessings,
