CATHOLIC SCHOOL CORNER: The seeds of a Catholic education are planted by both our parish communities and our families. By establishing strong academic and spiritual roots, Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of New York are putting students on a path that allows them to grow in faith and knowledge as they achieve their full potential. As the school year has come to a close, we would like to thank you for your support of Catholic education in our region. Our schools are vibrant, safe, nurturing spaces. Seats are still available in most grades. Our schools are on summer schedule but we are available to meet with you to discuss enrollment.
Please call 646-794-2885 to schedule a tour or appointment or visit:

A Note from the Pastor’s Desk Dear Parishioners,
Summer is in full swing and I hope everyone is able to enjoy some warm weather activities or perhaps just a Summer slow down. Some people take winter breaks and some get no break but it would be great if everyone could at least find some time for a little rest, relaxation and prayer in these days.
I myself am looking for a little break for a few days here and there. Again, I have to say thank goodness for Fr. William and Fr. Raphael, our two assistant priests for the Summer. Without their presence and help I would not even be able to go see my parents for dinner, now that Msgr. Barry and Fr. Tom have gone to their new assignments. I never go away for very long but it is good to have a change of scenery once in a while.
I am also grateful for the assistance of Fr. Donal O’Keeffe and a few other priests of the Legionaries of Christ. Fr. Donal informed me that they are able to assist us by celebrating some Masses each weekend in August, which is very good news indeed. Of course, in August we look forward to the arrival of Fr. John Wilson, our new full-time associate priest. I always say the Lord provides the help we need.
Speaking of help we need, I will begin to think about next steps for our parish Youth Group. The Youth Group primarily serves high school students (but also middle schoolers) and our coordinators, Christopher and Megan Genn, have done a wonderful job. Megan gave birth not too long ago to their third child so they now have three very little ones. Megan and Christopher have decided that they can no longer oversee the Youth Groups here at St. Patrick’s. As in many parishes, the Youth Group participation has been dwindling, but I truly hope we can continue and make the group strong again. First, we have to encourage teens to come to Youth Group; try to gauge interest and find the right person or persons to coordinate the group. It may take some time. I will keep you informed.
Sincerely in Christ,
