Teen Tuesday: Fandom Button MakingTuesday, July 2 at 4:30 PM

Let's make some geeky flair! Come use the library's button maker and button-makingsupplies to create your own fandom buttons. Bring your own designs, send them toHannah to print off in full color, or come use the designs we have in-house. TeenTuesdays are free and do not require any advance registration, but are intended forthose going into grades 5-12.

Relax & Rejuvenate in the Park!Tuesday, July 2; Tuesday, July 16; Tuesday, July 30;

Join us for our Relax and Rejuvenate in the Park series this summer! We will offer sixsessions with classes that fall into the yoga discipline, including yoga, body flow, tai chi,and more! The sessions will be taught by instructors from the Kettle Moraine YMCA.

These classes will take place in Patrons Park on the corner of Walnut Street and 7thAvenue by the library. In case of rainy or very hot weather, we will offer the classes onthe first floor of the library in the adult reading area.

Bring your own yoga mat or beach towel. No registration is required. All experiencelevels and ages are welcome, but participate at your own risk. Children age 7 andyounger must be accompanied by an adult.

Hidden Figures tells the incredible story of three brilliant African-American womenworking at NASA, who calculated the equations necessary to launch John Glenn intoorbit and turn the tide of the Space Race. Anime Manga Club meetsonce a month - in the summer as well as the school year. Celestial Sights in the Summer SkyTuesday, July 9 at 7 PM

Lazy summer nights are perfect forstargazing, but there’s more up there thanmeets the eye! Discover how to find giantplanets, stellar nurseries and spectacularstar clusters in the summer sky during thisfamily-oriented presentation. Weatherpermitting we will have a telescopeavailable to peek at the Moon outside. Bring your phone to take a picture!This program is presented by the Northern Cross Science Foundation. Join us as we partner with the Museum of Wisconsin Art to brighten up the librarysidewalk! Kids and teens are invited to adopt a square of sidewalk to decorate. It's Lit: Teen Book ClubThursday, July 11 at 4:30 PM

The latest installment in our teen books-to-movies series is The Fault in Our Stars (2014,PG-13, 2 hours 13 min), based on the novel by John Green. The Fault in Our Starsfollows Hazel as she deals with her cancer diagnosis. When she meets Gus at a cancersupport group, her life will never be the same. Read the book on your own time, then joinus for a screening of the film! Feel free to bring snacks and beverages, or even a full-ondinner if you wish. It's Lit is geared toward teens in grades 9-12, but younger folks arealso welcome. No signup required.

Sci-Friday: Star Trek MarathonFriday, July 12 at 10 AM

This Sci-Friday, we're having a marathon of some classic Star Trek films! Join us right at10 for Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982, PG, 1 hour 53 min), in which James T. Kirkmust once again captain the Enterprise as he takes on Khan, an enemy he thought he'dnever fight again. Then at noon we'll start Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (1984,PG, 1 hour 45 min), which finds Kirk taking dramatic action to save Spock and McCoy,angering the Klingons to the brink of battle. We'll take a short break, then, at 2 PM startStar Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986, PG, 2 hours, 2 minutes) which finds theEnterprise crew trying to blend into 1980s San Francisco long enough to find two keyitems and transport them - a mated pair of humpback whales - back to their present andsave the world. Memory CafeTuesday, July 23 at 1:30 PM

Memory Cafés are places where persons with MCI (Mild Cognitive Impairment), early-stage Alzheimer’s, or a related dementia can go with their care partners to socialize andhave fun with other people going through similar things. A Memory Café has no realagenda or stated purpose except to enjoy each other’s company. Cafés provide a timewhere you do not need to focus on the diagnosis, while having a great time connectingwith each other as a family or creating new friendships.

Notes of Ivory is a group of local teens rocking out on string instruments for a goodcause. Come check out their arrangements of popular and classic tunes. All ages arewelcome! Attendees have the option to donate to help combat animal extinction, and theevent is free and open to the public. If the weather is nice, we'll be outside in front of thelibrary; if not, you can find us in the Story Room.

Come back the next day to claim your stuffed friend and see photos of the fun the stuffedanimals had while you were away! **The stuffed animals will be sleeping over, so please bring a stuffed toy that your childcan live without for the night!

Storytime for Kids

We have several storytime sessions each week to choosefrom. Visit our website for more information on Storytimes.

Baby/Toddler Storytime takes place onWednesdays at 9:15 AM and is for ages 0-24months. This is about 15 minutes of songs, rhymes,and very short stories and always ends withbubbles and playtime!Preschool Storytime sessions usually last about25 minutes and consist of stories, songs, and rhymes, and the children can stayafter storytime for a craft. Preschool storytime takes place on Tuesday andWednesday mornings at 10 AM.NO THURSDAY EVENING STORYTIMES IN AUGUST, except August 8 at6:30pm for our annual Stuffed Animal Sleepover!All storytime sessions are drop-in and do not require advance registration.
