STORAGE & HANDLING
Our juice concentrates are manufactured with a 6 month shelf-life. They should be stored at refrigerated temperature (at or below 38º F) for safety and quality.

RECOMMENDED DOSAGE
Typical recommended dosage for a fruit flavored beer or similar application is 4% juice concentrate by volume. This will, of course, vary based on your product and preferences. Brix levels are provided for each concentrate and can be used to help determine your usage rate.
QUALITY AND FOOD SAFETY
Old Orchard has an on-site Quality Assurance laboratory and operates a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility certified by Safe Quality Foods (SQF) – a globally recognized food safety program. These concentrates are packaged for use by the end-user in further processed juices, alcoholic beverages, jams, jellies and similar food or beverage products. Regardless of the method of preservation or any treatment applied by Old Orchard Brands, it is the responsibility of the purchaser to complete a HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) or similar risk analysis and to ensure further processing for food safety and quality, including a thermal (or equivalent 5-log reduction) step to any 100% juice beverages made from our juice ingredients.

What is a juice concentrate? A juice concentrate is simply a fruit juice with some of the water removed. This allows for easier shipping and storage, and allows for the more convenient use of fruits that are not in season.
What are craft juice concentrate blends? Our proprietary craft concentrate blends combine multiple juice concentrates with natural flavors to create the same flavor profile as a straight juice concentrate, but at a discounted price. The products are high acid foods prepared in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) under sanitary conditions, and they comply with the United States Food, Drug & Cosmetic Act and similar Federal, state and local regulatory requirements.
What types of products can your juice concentrates be used in? Our juice concentrates are used in products that are further processed. For example, many breweries and wineries use our products in fermented beverages (beer, wine, cider, mead) – either as a fermentable base or as a blended ingredient to add fruit flavor or sweetness. Our products have also been used in other food and beverage applications, such as smoothies, BBQ sauce and flavored jerky.
What do I need to know about using Bulk Concentrates? These concentrates are packaged for use by the end-user in further processed juices, alcoholic beverages, jams, jellies and similar food or beverage products. What is the dilution ratio? How much water is needed to reconstitute the juice concentrate? The dilution ration is the amount of water needed to bring the concentrate back to a reconstituted or single strength juice. This will be different for the different concentrates we make. Dilution recommendations are available upon request.
What does “Brix” mean? Brix is the percentage by weight of sugar solids in a pure sucrose solution, where one degree brix is equal to 1% sucrose by weight. In fruit juice and similar products it is commonly used as a convenient term to express the percentage by weight of all soluble solids, which are primarily fermentable sugars, but also include acid, flavors, and small amounts of other substances.
In what size or format do you offer the juice concentrates? Our juice concentrates and craft blends are available in either a 5 gallon pail or a 52 gallon drum. Orders of multiple drums or pails will be wrapped on a pallet for shipping.
How long are the juice concentrates good for, and how should they be stored? Our juice concentrates are manufactured with a 6-month shelf-life. They should be stored at refrigerated temperature (at or below 38 degrees F) for safety and quality.
How do I place an order? All orders must be placed through our online Bulk Ordering system. Your company must have an online account to access this system. An account can be created at oldorchard.com/bulk-concentrates. You will then receive an email with instructions on how to login to our Bulk Ordering system. Please note: only one account is allowed per company. If your business already has an existing account, please login using those credentials. You can change your name or email address within your online profile.
What is the lead time for an order? The minimum lead time is 10 business days. You can select your desired pick-up date, which must be at least 5 business days after the order is placed. You must then contact our transportation department ([email protected]) to schedule the pick-up from our facility in Sparta, MI. Pick-up may be made by somebody from your company or a third party courier such as FedEx or UPS.
Can you deliver the juice concentrate to me? No. All orders must be picked up from our facility in Sparta, Michigan. If you are not local, you may choose to work with a third- party courier, such as FedEx or UPS, who can pick up from our facility and ship it to you. Regardless of pick-up method, all customers must coordinate pickup directly with Old Orchard's transportation department.

RECOMMENDED DOSAGE
Typical recommended dosage for a fruit flavored beer or similar application is 4% juice concentrate by volume. This will, of course, vary based on your product and preferences. Brix levels are provided for each concentrate and can be used to help determine your usage rate.

What is a juice concentrate? A juice concentrate is simply a fruit juice with some of the water removed. This allows for easier shipping and storage, and allows for the more convenient use of fruits that are not in season.
What are craft juice concentrate blends? Our proprietary craft concentrate blends combine multiple juice concentrates with natural flavors to create the same flavor profile as a straight juice concentrate, but at a discounted price. The products are high acid foods prepared in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) under sanitary conditions, and they comply with the United States Food, Drug & Cosmetic Act and similar Federal, state and local regulatory requirements.
What types of products can your juice concentrates be used in? Our juice concentrates are used in products that are further processed. For example, many breweries and wineries use our products in fermented beverages (beer, wine, cider, mead) – either as a fermentable base or as a blended ingredient to add fruit flavor or sweetness. Our products have also been used in other food and beverage applications, such as smoothies, BBQ sauce and flavored jerky.
What do I need to know about using Bulk Concentrates? What is the dilution ratio? How much water is needed to reconstitute the juice concentrate? The dilution ration is the amount of water needed to bring the concentrate back to a reconstituted or single strength juice. This will be different for the different concentrates we make. Dilution recommendations are available upon request.
What does “Brix” mean? Brix is the percentage by weight of sugar solids in a pure sucrose solution, where one degree brix is equal to 1% sucrose by weight. In fruit juice and similar products it is commonly used as a convenient term to express the percentage by weight of all soluble solids, which are primarily fermentable sugars, but also include acid, flavors, and small amounts of other substances.
In what size or format do you offer the juice concentrates? Our juice concentrates and craft blends are available in either a 5 gallon pail or a 52 gallon drum. Orders of multiple drums or pails will be wrapped on a pallet for shipping.
How long are the juice concentrates good for, and how should they be stored? Our juice concentrates are manufactured with a 6-month shelf-life. They should be stored at refrigerated temperature (at or below 38 degrees F) for safety and quality.
How do I place an order? All orders must be placed through our online Bulk Ordering system. Your company must have an online account to access this system. An account can be created at oldorchard.com/bulk-concentrates. You will then receive an email with instructions on how to login to our Bulk Ordering system. Please note: only one account is allowed per company. If your business already has an existing account, please login using those credentials. You can change your name or email address within your online profile.
What is the lead time for an order? The minimum lead time is 10 business days. You can select your desired pick-up date, which must be at least 5 business days after the order is placed. You must then contact our transportation department ([email protected]) to schedule the pick-up from our facility in Sparta, MI. Pick-up may be made by somebody from your company or a third party courier such as FedEx or UPS.
Can you deliver the juice concentrate to me? No. All orders must be picked up from our facility in Sparta, Michigan. If you are not local, you may choose to work with a third- party courier, such as FedEx or UPS, who can pick up from our facility and ship it to you. Regardless of pick-up method, all customers must coordinate pickup directly with Old Orchard's transportation department.
