Diary: Day 1-2

Typical grooming regime is as follows…

07.00 am: Wake up

07.03 am: Brush teeth with Colgate

17.30 pm: Shower, use Lux Soap, L’Oreal Color Vive Shampoo, Clean and Clear facial cleanser

02.30 am: Brush teeth with Colgate and floss teeth

- Typically shave once or twice a week using the Phillips Electric Shaver

Diary: Day 3

07.00 am: Wake up




Same grooming routine. Only difference was that before sleep, thought about what to wear for the next day as there was the Finishing Touch module to attend.

Diary: Day 4

07.00 am: Wake up




Today, had to dress up for the school’s Finishing Touch module. Learnt about networking events and how to make a good impression. Apart from wearing formal clothes, there was no change to the grooming routine.

Diary: Day 5Today, Stereometa (DJ club) threw the Valentine’s Day party, Traffic Light. Played the opening set at 21.15 pm – 22.15 pm. Apart from wearing a proper shirt, no change to grooming routine. No need to style hair as this will get in the way of wearing headphones.

07.00 am: Wake up




Diary: Day 6

11.45 am: Wake up



18.45 pm: Go for dinner, wear shirt and jeans.


No school today. Paid very little attention, if at all to grooming. Went for steamboat with friends. Friends are generally not the type to care too much about appearance.

Diary: Day 7

14.00 pm: Wake up

14.03 pm: Brush teeth with Colgate

17.15 pm: Go for a run



Had nothing on today. Pretty much slept it away.

Diary: Day 8

14.00 pm: Wake up





Same as yesterday. Slept and did school work. Computer gaming at night.

07.00 am: Wake up


17.30 pm: Shower, use Lux Soap, L’Oreal Color Vive Shampoo


Same old same old. Ran out of Clean and Clear, so used soap to wash face. Must remember to tell mother to get more facial cleanser…

Diary: Day 10

07.00 am: Wake up


17.30 pm: Shower, use Lux Soap, L’Oreal Color Vive Shampoo


Same grooming routine. Have an interview in a few days, so thought about what to wear so as to ask the Professor for Finishing Touch (tomorrow) whether it would be appropriate for the interview.

Diary: Day 11

07.00 am: Wake up, brush teeth with Colgate

08.30 am: Ask the Professor about clothes


19.15 pm: Discuss what the Professor had said with mother over dinner


Finishing Touch today. Asked the Professor whether the clothes picked out would be appropriate for the interview in a few days time. Mother bought new Clean and Clear.

Diary: Day 12

07.00 am: Wake up and brush teeth with Colgate

17.15 pm: Come home, shower, use Lux Soap, L’Oreal Color Vive Shampoo, Clean and Clear facial cleanser

22.00 pm: Prepared for interview, picked out shirt/clothes

22.25 pm: Get nagged at by mother, that should take care of face so as to leave a good impression (don’t want interviewer/clients to be distracted by pimples). Sister offers BB cream, which is dismissed

22.45 pm: work work work

02.00 am: sleep

Interview for UOB internship the next day. Thought about what to wear and say for the next day. Asked mother whether what was picked out was OK. Get nagged at about appearance

Diary: Day 13

07.00 am: Wake up, brush teeth

12.02 pm: Photocopy academic certificate and work in the library so as not to sweat

17.15 pm: Interview

18.30 pm: Go home, shower, use Lux Soap, L’Oreal Color Vive Shampoo, Clean and Clear facial cleanser


Had the interview today. Wore what was picked out yesterday. Apart from that, no extra thought was given to personal grooming except to stay in the school library so as not to sweat so much. Overall, felt that a good impression was left at the interview as was confident and knowledgeable about the task involved in the internship.

Diary: Day 14

14.00 pm: Wake up





Had nothing on today or the next day. Did not think about grooming at all.
