Vision Team Update – Calvary Crossroads – Judy Dulski. Discussed overall goals, priorities, mission statement criteria, and next steps in Calvary’s Ministry Plan. Council will continue to monitor monthly progress. Committees will set goals/priorities and budget for coming year. M/S/P. 3. Annual meeting date set for August 3, 2014. M/S/P 4. Jodi Schultz, Librarian; asked Council to schedule Jack Pearson (musician and storyteller) to perform in fellowship hall at Calvary, Thursday, June 12 at 10:30 a.m. M/S/P Committee Reports: Caring and Outreach – Dorothy Meyer – Chili Challenge – Thanks to Rory and Beth Palm for “cooking for Calvary,” please attend and support. Greetings from Dave LaMaster – “The Walk” to Eagle Pass Texas was planned. Barb Thomason will research history. Family Ministry – David Simmons – Existing Nursery – 18’ x 16.5’ = 297 sq. ft., Proposed Nursery – 18’ x 19.5’ = 351 sq. ft. (17-22% is storage, changing room and toilet). Background check done for Taylor Harsha for back up nursery assistant. Finance Ministry – Harry Wenner – 185 total pledges returned. A low-key temple talk will be given in April reminding the congregation that we need to be vigilant with regard to maintaining the giving level. Learning Ministry – Jo Judson – Curriculum evaluation was proofed and approved. Evaluations will be given to all SS and RT teachers at the end of March. Resources Ministry – Bob Hansen – Snow and ice buildup on roof causing water leak. Water line froze on Tues. Feb 19. Attempts to thaw frozen line failed – providing alternate water supply by running hose from hydrant until frozen pipes thaw out in spring. Worship Ministry – Judy Dulski – April 12 beginning of Holy Week. May 18 – Senior Sunday, plans in motion for planning special music including our seniors. Youth Ministry – Rhonda Lageson – Soup suppers start March 12. Other fundraisers also planned for Youth Mission trip. Mission trip dates – June 21-28, 2014.
