I have been experimenting with Adobe Photoshop CS3 and have produced images shown below. For my benefit, I experimented with photography of my friend Jack who I intend to use as my model for my music magazine. He holds many inspirational values and is photogenic which is beneficial for myself, as well as the photographs. I decided to try out unusual styles which would appeal to my house style and target audience, such as applying various techniques programmed on Photoshop.

In regard to my music magazine, experimenting with Photoshop has given me experience on how to edit photos and will contribute to the editing process for my coursework. I particularly like the black and white distorted effect with a tint of colour as it meets my intention of creating a music magazine to be a non-mainstream style.

Examples of Photoshop work

There are many effects and styles which Adobe Photoshop CS3 has to offer; editing in exposure, contrast, texture, colour tints and graphics. I have found an unusual, distorted photograph through photography which has inspired me to use the similar effect. Although I have not discovered how to apply this particular style on Photoshop, I am confident the main image I will produce for my front cover will be of a similar standard, also creation.
