Pilgrimage Chapel of Notre Dame du Haut, Ronchamps
Le Corbusier. 1955
Modern buildings are the poems of concrete, they illustrate that the exact state of architectural art highly depends on the physical technology. The country chapel Ronchamp gives fully expression on plasticity of concrete and beauty of form. The aspirations of architectural art are concentrated in the handling vol-ume.
Ronchamp is a single building with partly tilted convex and concave walls covered by a shell that rises from the centre of the interior space. Many people praised the rays of light in this piece of art. Moreover , light inter-acts is the production of spatial arrangement and the mate-rial that creating different moods. In other words, the concrete material and transformation do not lose the aspirational function of a chapel. The Advances in building technique seem to have brought with them only the practical problems invovled in using new methods to produce old effects.
As the passage of time, social aesthetic approaches tend to more dynamic from initial static state. Modern architec-ture detaches the stiff and pursues the spatial transformation. The parametric design becomes popular because of emphasises on the dynamic aesthet-ics. Zaha realized the possibilities of artistic expression in the combination of computing technology and organic principles.
ART CENTRE. ABU DIHABI
This art centre has appearnt theme and amazing appearance. nevertheless, the architect does not ignore the sructure formula and connotation of architecture itself. The vechile path directly connect the centre and arriving fresh from its curved treatment, that caused a terrific convenience. Space and light are evenly distribution, the innerspace guide a rising circulation. overall, the pratical parametric architecture is much more complex than architeure defined in modernism.
