Dear Joshua Nations Partner,  Northern Uganda Lana and I have returned from Northern Uganda having spent time with our team host, Diane Brask. We have been around the world many times over, but I do not know of a time when our hearts have been so profoundly broken, troubled or moved as they have been by this trip. We had heard about the army of children forced to serve Joseph Kony, a madman driven by Satan, but nothing could have prepared our hearts for the horrors we experienced. Our spirits and our emotions will be affected for a long time! We heard stories of leaders who have had their loved ones butchered with machetes. We listened in gut-wrenching anguish about the nine to twelve-year-olds who were forced to eat the cooked body parts of their friends. This was to instill fear into them from Kony's rebel army so they would join the rebels in their systematic reign of terror, torture and murder of the Ugandans. Many of these kids were also made to kill their parents. Lives, families, entire communities have been massacred. These are just a few of the barbaric acts committed on the people of Northern Uganda. Even under such cruel and unthinkable circumstances, we still experienced the manifested glory of God's presence. One day I was teaching a group of students under the shade of a tree. Before

Ahmadabad, India From Uganda, I sent my bride home and then I flew to India to join a team to minister at a Global Advance Front Line Shepherd's conference. Oh, how hungry these pastors were. We met for three days with six sessions each day.

• 100 leaders committed to daily devotions • 100 leaders committed to plant 100 churches in the next year • 3 leaders committed to go to the nations

The following two days, I trained forty leaders to start Bible Training Centers. There is such spiritual hunger that one of the leaders had already studied five of the lessons.

We trained Northern Ugandan pastors who committed to start 100 new Bible Training Centers that will bring new hope and light to many in this part of the earth. I spoke in several churches, consulted with church leaders, and had the honor of preaching in a Ugandan prison where twenty-two gave their hearts to Jesus. South Sudan We were not allowed into South Sudan, so we brought two apostolic leaders into Northern Uganda. I trained them to go back to start Bible Training Centers in their country. They are mighty men of God who envision planting many churches and schools there.

One day a pastor came home from an extended time of ministry to find a huge ruckus in the village square. The village people were ready to kill a man who had in fact been found in bed with the pastor's wife. The pastor forgave the man and released him to go. Because of the pastor's actions, the whole village gave their hearts to Christ.

Make a joyful shout unto the Lord!!

Being the Hands of Christ:

One of the biggest joys of going into other nations is being able to be a blessing to them. Diane Brask, our team host, blessed many poor farmers with forty sets of brand new farm tools and four new irrigation systems. The farmers were also blessed with donations of sugar, salt, and oil. What a glorious day!

Calcutta, India Leaving the saints in Ahmadabad, we flew to Calcutta to conduct another Global Advance Front Line Shepherd's conference. Here, hundreds of leaders were equipped and empowered to do the work of the Lord. The people of India are beautiful, but have many needs. We are expecting a mighty harvest in this nation.

Just Ahead: Congo, Rwanda, Burundi Jack Gaudin and Carl and Lani Rogers will travel to the Congo, Rwanda, and Burundi where they will minister in four conferences and conduct graduation ceremonies. These graduates are the fruit of Bible Training Centers that were planted just two years ago. We thank God for His working in the hearts of these graduates who will go on to disciple hundreds more for the King! Ethiopia and Tanzania I will be home for three glorious weeks, and then we go to Ethiopia and Tanzania where we will train hundreds of leaders in eight locations.
