Joshua 21 1 Then came near the heads of the fathers of the LevitesLevites unto Eleazar the priest, and unto Joshua the son of Nun, and unto the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel; 2 And they spake unto them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying, The Lord commanded by the hand of Moses to give us cities to dwell in, with the suburbs thereof for our cattle. 3 And the children of Israel gave unto the Levites out of their out of their inheritanceinheritance, at the Commandment of the Lord, these cities and their suburbs.

41 All the cities of the Levites within the possession of the children of Israel were forty and eight cities forty and eight cities with their suburbswith their suburbs. 42 These cities were every one with their suburbs round about them: thus were all these cities.

They were scattered, just as God said they would be when Levi and Simeon murderedmurdered the tribe of Canaanites hundreds of years before.

Purpose: to serve all the people from every tribe as Priests of God.

Hebrews 10 35 Cast not away therefore your confi-dence, which hath great recompense of reward. 36 For ye have need of patience, that, afterafter ye have donedone the Will of God, ye might receive the promise.

We can wait patientlywait patiently on God, in faith, knowing that He will never fail usHe will never fail us.

The world looks for peace in all the wrong places:

The only peacepeace comes in a right relationshipright relationship with our Savior and LordSavior and Lord, Jesus Christ.

Psalms 30 4 Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of His, and give thanks at the remembrance of His holiness. 5 For His anger endureth but a moment; in His favor is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy but joy comethcometh in the morning in the morning.

You may be passing through a dark time; the night may seem so long.

Joy will come in the morning.

3 Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field. 4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. 5 Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store. 6 Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.
