ABOUT JOSH CARESOur Mission: Josh Cares is dedicated to ensuring that no critically or chronically ill children treated at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical

Center suffer through a hospitalization feeling alone, without the support of a parent by their sides when they need it the most. Josh

Cares Child Life Specialists provide comfort, support and companionship to these children and serve as surrogates for, and

links to, the families who would be by their sides if they could.

Josh Cares serves children in all critical and chronic care units

throughout Cincinnati Children’s. At any given time,

there are approximately 25 seriously ill children whose families are unable to be by their sides throughout their

hospitalizations.

Josh Cares is the only program of its kind nationwide!

Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, existing solely to promoting the needs of the hospital’s long term patients whose families are unable to be by their sides as often as

they would like.
