Join them as they recreate the sights, sounds and smells of the household of William Snawsell, a former Lord Mayor of York and occupant of Barley Hall towards the end of the medieval period. With opportunities to meet characters, see demonstrations and take part in activities, this is a rare glimpse of social history brought to life in a fabulously atmospheric setting.

In 1461 , the forces of medieval England met in the fields of Towton for a day of unparallelled savagery that left 28,000 dead. Join the Towton Battlefield Society and follow in the footsteps of the Lancastrian Army as they marched along Iron Age track-ways through beautiful Yorkshire scenery to the heart of the Battle. You may even see the White Horse on Sutton Bank or a hovering Red Kite. This is more than your typical battlefield walk.
