Five-day workshop with Camelbak. Learning about their brand and business plan, as well as formulating a water consuming concept based on their design language. The final concept was also presented to Camelbak’s designer and CEO at their headquarter in Petaluma, CA.

SPRINTMASTERSTARTING BLOCKCould a starting block becomes more innovative?

It is a required equipment on every sprint race/competitions.

It helps to push the athletes to the highest speed quickly.

For professional competitions, it comes with speaker to let the athletes hear the digital gun sound (to prevents false start).

STARTING BLOCKThey produced the starting block for every Olympic Games and other World Class competitions.

They are the official timekeeper for the Olympics.

It is part of their legacy for many decades.

WHY OMEGA?

This little rod holds this foot pad to the center rail. Well, it still shakes when the runner

uses it, which makes it unstable.

These slots on the rail that holds the

block to lock down limit precision adjustment for the runner.

Sometimes, the sprinter will accidently

damaged the speaker with their

spike shoes. It should be part of the design.

These numbers are not cm or inches. It is

a set of random numbers. It is confusing and inconvinient.

WHAT ARE THE DETAILS?

Finding the right form, I take my inspiration from aeroplanes and fighter planes as an interpretation of speed.

VASE COFFEEMAKERI got inspired by a clean, subtle design of Braun’s Aromaster KF 20 and a beautiful curved shape of a flower vase. For my rendering practice, I decided to combined those two elements together to create an organic shaped coffee maker under Braun’s minimal design language.

We initially came up with an idea of being able to sign package though your phone when you are away from home.

Yet, we got hit with a question: How can we protect the package after it is being delivered?

EXPLORING THE FORMS

This is one of our hardest challenge; to create a

form that could fit on any type of user’s home. It

should not be too flashy or too simple looking.

Models were made to explore a proper size

that could fit user’s home, and it should not

compromise the storage space

It’s your choice.Personal items deserves personalization. We allows each customers to choose their own choice of material finishes as desired.
