SynopsisSteel Ball Run or Jojo part 7 , is the 7 story arc of the comic although each arc is completely separate from post part 6 due to actions caused by the former antagonist. With Steel Ball Run its a Japanese comic set in 1890, where out main protagonists Jonny Joestar a former cocky jockey from America who as shot and is now handicapped and Gyro Zeppeli a mysterious man who use to be a executioner. They now compete in a race across America with the promise of 50 million dollar prize.

The genre of this radio drama is Mystery, Action, Drama and Western this is due to the story being set back in late 1800s where the cowboys were going wild fighting and killing one another, the reason why its a drama and Mystery is discovering various background of characters and there intentions and motivations.

Characters Johnny Joestar An exhot shotjockey from England, who was crippled after antagonizing a person by a cinema. Johnny is trying to regain the ability to walk and trying to achieve his old lifestyle of racing. His relation with Gyro is a great friendship where they have journeyed across the USA and have fought against the president and his henchmen. Their relation at first is toobeneficial the both of them where one wins the race and the other who get the ability to learn how to walk again.Gyro Zeppeli Gyro an ex executioner from Italy, who was trying to impress his farther and live up to his families legacy, but after he ruined it for not killing an innocent child so he joined the steel ball run to allow the child to live. His relation with Johnnyis a great friendship where they have journeyed across the USA and have fought against the president and his henchmen. Their relation at first is toobeneficial the both of them where one wins the race and the other who get the ability to learn how to walk again.President Valentine The newest elected president who is trying to make his country the strongest and the greatest , a former war hero who was the last savior of his pack in the desert. With Valentine he is man trying to make is country great, however he has to perform dirty deed to get it down.

Location and release The place where the radio drama will be aired is BBC radio 1 and it will be a series of short episodes that will be aired at a late time slot so that the audio the story can be aired for a short time without disrupting the top ten chart or other forms of music. The drama will air in the evenings on Radio 1 at 9:30pm where its a niche little drama for late drivers or drivers with the story it will be will be available on Iplayer on the BBC website and people can purchase the whole story podcast on iTunes, the launch of the drama will be in august 1st 2016.

Marketing and Distribution The radio drama will be aired on BBC Radio 1and will eventually re-run on 4 Extra and will be available to the users on iplayer for a certain amount of days, this is here is so that if people hear this of the drama and are interested and want to hear more about the story they can go on iPlayer and find the whole story so far. Furthermore with this being included they can listen to this on iTunes after it has all been aired and after a certain amount of time, adding on the users will be able to purchase a physical CD online and in shops, from Amazon and HMV.

Target Audience With the target audience of this show would be more of an younger crowd between 20 30 where they want to see a story of a gigantic race across the USA, where you see fights against the government and other antagonists with other features from both science fiction and Christian. With this type of radio drama it could branch out to an older audience where theyre looking for a classic American story about cowboys.

BUDGETThe budget of this radio drama will be roughly 20,000 this includes the studio cost, cast/crew, expenses and licensing on music/sound effects. The BBC gives you the budget and is funded by the license fee. With the budget, when it comes to voice actors it will be higher for those who are more famous and who are extremely popular e.g. Chris Evens.
