Recommendations
1. The JIT visited some parts of Districts: Lucknow, Sultanpur, Faizabad and
Barabanki. There is a need to have more emphasis on activities related to PHM, drip
irrigation and protected cultivation.
2. The rejuvenation of old plants undertaken is very less and at some places it has not
been done properly. There is lot of scope for this activity and need to be undertaken
as per the prescribed method.
3. In district Barabanki the units namely: Vermicompost and Packhouse visited by the
team and supported under NHM are not working at all. The Department should take
necessary action to restart them.
4. The Department needs to take steps to get the activities completed which are given
to NDUAT under NHM.
5. The Govt. Food Science Training Centre, Faizabad has lot of equipments
purchased for Diploma students but are not being used even for practicals. This
needs to be looked into.
