Efficiencies• Online access to the Adult Abuse Registry for employers• Web-based reporting system for facilities, eliminating

paper, faxing and duplicate data entry.• The new automated background process goes live on

March 8, 2013. It provides background information to employers from 9 data streams at one source.

• Emergency Preparedness Symposium and on-going consultative services to facilities on developing All-Hazards Preparedness Plans.

• Provided clarification and a process for discharges thru regulations.

Efficiencies (continued)

• The most recent survey (inspection) reports are now available on-line for the public to view.

• Reduced on-site survey time from 10 days to 6 days, reducing inconvenience to facilities.

• Established an Adult Abuse Registry panel to ensure the prosecution of offenders and reducing the funds expended on our contracted hearing officers.

Web-based Incident Reporting System• Reduces paper, faxing and duplication for facilities.• Eliminates indecipherable handwriting and allows

facilities to enter follow-up information electronically also.• Eliminates the majority of data entry for our staff.• Results in more complete information being provided to

our staff.• Greatly reduces our use of paper, copying, folders and

fax toners.

Disaster Preparedness Project

Using grant funding the Division presented an

Emergency Preparedness Conference for facilities in conjunction with the UD College of Health Services and

contracted with a consultant to assist facilities in developing All-Hazards Preparedness Plans.

Certified Nurse Assistants

• Approve curriculum and oversight of the testing/ certification process

• Initiated a web-based educational tracking system to regulate the 24 hours training minimum requirements including statutory dementia training
