The purpose of the project is the dissemination and the wider application of the programmes andeducational materials newly developed by the Bukhara Technological Institute of Food and LightIndustry and its partners for its bachelors award in Economics of Agricultural Commodities underCD-JEP-21250-2000. These will be transformed to the credit system. These materials andexpertise and guidance on their delivery will be provided to higher educational institutes andprofessional colleges in Uzbekistan. Assistance à la Modernisation de la Gestion Universitaire

L'absence de la gestion universitaire efficace freine actuellement le développement institutionnelde l'UETP. C'est pourquoi la modernisation de la gestion universitaire est déclarée par lesresponsables politiques de l'université ouzbek partenaire comme le projet d'établissement.L'objectif général de ce projet est de créer un pôle d'excellence en gestion universitaire au sein del'Université d'Etat de Pédagogie de Tachkent (UEPT). Cet objectif suppose de produire les résultatsmesurables au terme de 12 mois du projet. Ces résultats se concrétiseront par une livraison d'uneétude analytique définissant les conditions, le cahier de charges et les préconisationsméthodologiques pour moderniser la gestion universitaire de l'UEPT. Le projet prévoit trois axesclés d'innovation qui seront développées sur la base des services universitaires existants ounouvellement crées au sein de l'UEPT. L'un des principaux chantiers sera le développement desmissions du service de Ressources Humaines de l'UEPT. Les objectifs de ce service devronts'exprimer en terme de structure d'emploi de renforcement des métiers de compétence. La miseen place d'outils statistiques fiables sera aussi un atout fort de ce projet et permettra d'envisagerla réalisation d'un véritable tableau de bord. Cet outil de pilotage qui restera simple dans saconception, permettra à l'UEPT de se forger une image globale de son activité, d'éclairer les choixde ses responsables et d'aider au suivi de l'exécution du projet. L'Optimisation de lacommunication interne présente également le volet clé du projet. La méthode du projet serafondée sur le suivi des grandes fonctions de gestion universitaire et sur le développement deprojets des servicesn car les services universitaires ouzbeks existants constituent des lieux desprojets innovants touchant à l'organisation universitaire. La démarche sera d'aider à l'émergencede ces projets et des les accompagner depuis leur conception jusqu'à leur évaluation.

Introduction of University Quality Management System

The pilot establishment of a Quality Management System and Resource Centre at NationalUniversity of Uzbekistan based on the achievements of IT and prepared for dissemination to policymakers and other educational institutes. Rationale In January 2000 Tashkent State Universityobtained the status and name of National University of Uzbekistan. This status allows theUniversity to play a role of a key actor in Education and Training in the Uzbek area. As a result oftwo Tempus Projects CP 200007-98 & NP 22058-2001, the Internal University and Nationalinter-University networks were successfully established. Needed capacities and infrastructureswere built. University supporting the Government agenda on innovative reforms in the area ofeducation ensuring irreversible transition to free market economy and democratic state of rule oflaw is committed to contribution to the aforesaid reforms by raising quality of education. Withtransition to two stage higher education system the need has emerged to introduce newsophisticated quality management system and to implement it in study process.
