Itinerary:Day 1: WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 20 - OVERNIGHT FLIGHTOvernight fl ight from Boston Logan Airport

Day 2: THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 21 – ARRIVE IN ROMEYour group will have a private transfer to the Donna Laura Palace Hotel (or similar). The rest of the day will be at your leisure. In the afternoon leave for a panoramic tour of Rome (Colosseum area and Circus Maximus) before enjoying your welcome dinner with music and drinks! (D)

Day 3: FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 22 – ROMEThis morning takes you on an unforgettable guided tour of Vatican Museums: a treasure trove of ancient Greek sculptures, medieval tapestries and Renaissance paintings. Our visit culminates in the Sistine Chapel. With your expert local guide you’ll visit St. Peter’s Basilica, by far the largest church in Christendom. Your afternoon will continue with a guided tour of the Glory of Rome: stopping at Piazza Venezia, Rome’s Historical Centre with “The Vittoriano”, the Roman Forums and the Colosseum, Rome’s greatest amphitheater built by the Emperor Vespasian in 72 A.C. (reserved admission included) (B)

Day 4: SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 23 – MONTEPULCIANO – PIENZA – FLORENCE AREA This morning, depart by motor-coach to Florence. Reach the hilltop town of Montepulciano, an ancient village full of medieval and Renaissance buildings, famous for one of the oldest wines of Italy. Stop for a visit at a Tuscan wine cellar tasting wines and delicious local cuisine. Proceed to Pienza, the Renaissance “ideal town”, built by Pope Pius II, well-known for its Pecorino cheese. Continue to Villa Casa Grande in Figline Valdarno, where you will enjoy a 5-night stay. This evening, you will be welcomed with a Tuscan Feast featuring local wines and traditional Tuscan fare. Day 5: SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 24 – FLORENCE After breakfast, journey to Florence for a morning guided walking tour: stroll down cobblestone lanes, through majestic squares and across ancient bridges, pausing along the way to visit and learn about Palazzo Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria, the cathedral and Giotto’s bell tower and the Accademia. Florence offers the largest number of historical buildings and works of art in Italy, as well as several world-class museums. In the afternoon during your free time, you may want to explore the myriad of shopping venues near Ponte Vecchio before returning back to the Villa. (B)

DAY 6: MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 25 – AT YOUR LEISURE – OPTIONAL COOKING CLASSToday is a free day to do whatever you would like to do. Perhaps take some time to discover the lovely village of Figline Valdarno or in the afternoon take an optional cooking class. (B)

Optional Cooking Class – Additional $149 per person This is your chance to cook with the renowned Italian chef Mamma Paola. During the 3-hour class, you will learn to prepare many traditional and seasonal Tuscan dishes. Dinner to follow based on your efforts.

Day 7: TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 26 – SIENA AND SAN GIMIGNANOEnjoy a full day excursion to Siena and San Gimignano. Independently discover the beauty of these perfectly preserved medieval towns. Although you will be on your own touring these areas, your driver can make recommendations on what to see and where to eat. Before leaving, you will experience a wine tasting at a local farm in the area. (B)

DAY 8: WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 27– CINQUE TERREAfter breakfast, depart for Cinque Terre and enjoy an unforgettable day dedicated to the discovery of one of the most amazing and enchanting landscapes in the world. “Cinque Terre” or the fi ve villages is an area suspended between sea and land, hanging from sheer cliffs surrounded by hills and vineyards. You will travel though these little villages by train and boat (weather permitting). You will then return to Figline Valdarno for an unforgettable Tuscan Farewell Dinner! (B, D)

Day 9: THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 28 – RETURN HOMEAfter breakfast, transfer to Florence Airport for your fl ight home. (B)
