description

The Yocto Project is a set of tools to build customised versions of Linux for embedded products. What do you say? That you haven't understood a single word of that? Oh, don't worry: that means that you are a normal HCI person. The Yocto Project is the most unlikely place on earth to find a designer of any kind, and yet, there is design life there. Why? Come to hear how I got hooked to free and open source software in general, to the Yocto Project in particular, and most importantly, why free and open source software needs you, and why you should contribute to it.
