Day 1: Tuesday, June 4 • Depart Cincinnati

This morning, depart to Cincinnati / Kentucky Airport (CVG) for a group flight to San Diego, CA (SAN). Upon arrival in San Diego board a luxury motor coach and transfer to Sorrento Valley. Check into the hotel and freshen up. Enjoy a welcome dinner and overnight in Sorrento Valley.

Day 2: Wednesday, June 5 • Mission San Luis Rey de Francia | Mission San Juan Capistrano

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and travel north to San Luis Rey de Francia, known as the “King of the Missions”, the largest of the 21 Missions. Enjoy a guided tour of the Mission, home to a community of Franciscan Friars, followed by time for prayer & reflection. Afterwards, transfer to Los Rios Street, the oldest Street in California, for lunch on your own and time for shopping. Then, visit Mission San Juan Capistrano, founded in 1776 featuring the Serra Chapel, the only standing church where Saint Serra is known to have said Mass. Participate in a guided tour of the Mission followed by time to pray in the peaceful gardens or explore the museum housing one-of-a kind artifacts, treasures and paintings. Celebrate Mass in the Serra Chapel (pending confirmation). Continue to Mission Viejo, check into your hotel and freshen up before departing toward the Pacific coast. Enjoy time at leisure on the coastline for shopping and exploration with dinner on your own.

Return to your hotel for an overnight in Mission Viejo.

Day 3: Thursday, June 6 • Christ Cathedral | Wine Tasting

Enjoy a morning of leisure, before checking out of the hotel and departing to Christ (Crystal) Cathedral in Orange County. Not only was the Cathedral the largest glass building in the world when it was completed in 1981, it has one of the largest musical instruments in the world, the Hazel Wright Memorial organ. Celebrate Mass followed by a guided tour and time for prayer. Enjoy lunch on your own before transferring to the Los Angeles area. Upon arrival, check into the hotel depart for an authentic California Wine Tasting experience!

Dinner on your own to cherish the area with your loved ones and new friends. Return to the hotel for an overnight in Los Angeles.

Day 4: Friday, June 7 • Our Lady of the Angels | St. Teresa Monastery | Mission San Gabriel ArcAngel

After breakfast, transfer to the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, the mother church of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Celebrate Mass followed by a guided tour. Lunch on your own in the Pasadena area before an afternoon visit to the Carmel of St. Teresa Monastery and Mission San Gabriel Arcángel, the fourth of the twenty-one California Missions. Learn the history of these sites and the role each have played in the state’s history. Return to the hotel for time at leisure. Farewell dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Los Angeles.

Day 5: Saturday, June 8 • Mission San Diego de Alcala | Return Home

After breakfast, check out of hotel and transfer to Mission San Diego de Alcala, the first of the great California Missions, marking the origin of Christianity in the American West. This historical shrine was founded in 1769 and provides the roots of Catholicism in this part of the world. Celebrate Mass followed by a guided tour to learn the extraordinary dedication of the Spanish priests who traveled far and worked tirelessly

to spread the Gospel. Afterwards, depart to the San Diego airport (SAN) for a group flight home.
