The Value of a Good
Support Team
At Johnson Plastics we have always tried
to do more than just sell engraving and
sublimation materials. That includes
doing everything we can to provide
you, our customer, with good technical
support.
In our sublimation business, our commit-
ment to supporting you has led us to
assemble what we believe is the best
technical support team in the industry --
one you can count on for the help you
need. You may have seen our recent ads
in trade publications promoting our team.
We know we have competitors…and we
know our prices are competitive for similar
products. If you are tempted by a com-
petitor’s promotion or newly announced
support teams, think twice. And remem-
ber, it’s at those critical moments when
you need help that the value of a proven
support team is priceless.

New Product Masking From Rowmark
Rowmark has announced a new masking for all their products, in response to customer feed-
back about a ghosting residue occasionally left on sheet materials after masking removal,
requiring additional clean-up.
The new masking formulation completely eliminates the residue problem. The masking also
features fabrication instructions for Rowmark products, including helpful hints on stacking, cut-
ting and storing. We anticipate three new masks, one each for rotary, laser and value series,
will be phased in throughout 2010.

GOOD NEWS ON 2010 PRICES
Vendors try to hold the line
We normally receive price increases from our vendors this time of the year. But the good news
is most vendors are maintaining their pricing on most products, at least for now.
IPI engraving plastic has announced no product price increases and has reduced the price
of their Engravers Advantage Laserables II.
JRS Sign Frames also has no increases at this time. A couple of magnets have dropped in price
along with standard white magnetic sheeting. Some metals also may decrease slightly. That’s
the kind of news we know you like to hear.
Some prices are up a bit
Rowmark has announced increases in their Satins, Textures, Heavy Weights and acrylic en-
graving products. Cutters for rotary engraving machines are going up two or three percent,
and a few adhesive tapes will increase.
As far as sublimation products are concerned, Unisub says four of their ChromaLuxe silver photo
panels are the only product increases at this time. A few of our pewter pieces are up slightly.
Hopefully this pricing news will help each of you plan for what we hope will be a better 2010.
New Products for Sublimation
By early February Johnson Plastics will have a number of new products for sublimation. Three
new wallets (two leatherette and one denim) are already in stock each with a sublimatable
side. We also will have a new inexpensive tote bag,
smaller than our popular grocery bag.
The family cooks will love our new large oven mitt (big
enough for a male hand) and pot holder, made with
silver heat-resistant material. We’re also adding an
apron with adjustable neck length that can be subli-
mated with any size image depending on the size of
your press.
We’re also gearing up for outdoor events with a new case for eyeglasses or sunglasses (shown
above).
And one very unique surprise item that is being unveiled at our trade shows in January. See it
at our booth or watch our web site for the big announcement.

JP Visits Rowmark in Ohio
In September we traveled to Findlay, Ohio to visit Rowmark, one of our primary manufactur-
ers of plastic engraving sheet stock.
We toured the impressive 75,000 sq. ft. facility and saw multiple extrusion lines for pressing,
laminating and hot stamping. Four storage silos store raw materials and a separate ware-
house contains finished goods.
We learned that Rowmark’s new divisions, recently created for custom products and sign
frames, will continue the compa-
ny’s goal of providing the highest
quality product in the world.
Active in the community, Rowmark
encourages their employees to
support a variety of humanitarian
programs with their time, talent
and resources.
We thoroughly enjoyed our
visit…and look forward to many
more years of a strong working
relationship.
