Lodge Membership 232 And Growing! The Little Lodge That Does Big Things! Brothers and Sisters in Elkdom: At our Lodge meeting on October 4 th , Proposal 4212 was voted on and passed by our membership. This proposal gives us an option to purchase the property within a six month time period. In the meantime, Lodge members are working hard to get our Lodge up and running with monies obtained from our landlord. We are doing the labor and have use of the building rent-free until this spring when we will make a final decision on our Lodge’s future. Lodge volunteers are working to get our Lodge open as soon as possible. Mike Kelly is heading up a team during the day and Scott Dow is taking over for the evening shift. As of this writing the electrical work is almost complete, the dining room ceiling insulation is done and Mark Prindle is making great progress on framing in our doors and windows. This past weekend, member Ron Cornell plastered the walls in our lounge and bathroom. If you have not already done so, come on down and see what a terrific job he did! The floors, walls and ceilings in our other rooms are also being prepared for finishing. Chris Albeck, who is down at the Lodge almost every day, is one of our many volunteers supporting and making all this progress possible. Thanks go out to everyone involved! Our lodge meetings are being held the first and third Tuesdays of the month at Endicott Lodge #1977 until we reopen. We also have a Paddle Party fundraiser scheduled on the 27 th of November at their location. Johnson City Lodge #2821 is again on it’s way- coming back stronger and even better than before! There is still much work that needs to be done. Stop down at your Lodge to see how you can get involved in the renovation. As always, you can call or e-mail myself or one of our officers with any questions or comments you may have. Fraternally, Russell Ryan, E.R. ELKS OF THE MONTH Mike Kelly Chris Albeck It gives me great pleasure to name Mike Kelly and Chris Albeck Elks of the Month. These two members continue to work tirelessly in the restoration of our Lodge. They are down at our Lodge almost every day and along with the help of other valuable volunteers, are making great progress to get us up and running as soon as possible. Thanks Guys! Friends,

People have asked whether we're still doing our fundraiser, Cheers to Hope for the American Cancer Society this year. The answer is YES! The floods have hit our community hard. Losing your home and your possessions is devastating. So is hearing the words 'you have cancer'. We need to continue to fight for the patients and the families who can't escape cancer no matter what else is happening in the world. Please help me spread the word. We needed to make a few adjustments this year due to the flood. Cheers to Hope will be on SUNDAY, November 13th, from 2-5pm at BROTHER'S 2 in Endwell this year. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. See me for a flyer and please pass it around! Thanks!! Nancy Graver 754-9439
