Subject: J ohn and Thomas Diggs Foundation

Dear Family

Thanks to our Tampa family I have enjoyed another great Family Reunion. And Iam looking forward to 2015 and our 16th Diggs Family Reunion in Californiahosted by Larecenia Freemen.

My name is Corbit Austin Bradshaw. I am the proud Grandson of Nancy (Diggs)Corbitt, who is the Daughter of Thomas and Tressie (McLeod) Diggs I havechaired or been on the committee for the two reunions held in Detroit, MIchigan

I would like to propose the creation of a private family Foundation in honor ofJ ohn and Thomas Diggs.

The Objectives are to:

1. Document the lineage and preserve the legacy of J ohn and ThomasDiggs

2. Enhance the communications and Increase the individual knowledge ofour common history

3. Develop more interactions (Networking) between families across city and

state boundaries4. Provide incentives to Inspire and motivate all of us to pursue higheracademic achievements as we pursue our dreams.

My Vision: for a J ohn and Thomas Diggs Foundation

Phase 1: communications.

Replies to this letter and my current Diggs database I hope to contact each of

you to discuss this initiative. If I get enough participation I will continue.

Phase 2: Documenting your Lineage

I have been gathering family Lineage data since I first discovered I was adescendant of the Diggs. family in 1989. With the help of Perdie Greene andmany others who provided me with their family tree data Thought-out the years. Iwill continue to ask for your Lineage information.

Phase 3: Scholarship awards

In Loving Memory of Sister Loraine Bradshaw (1944-2011) I will provide$1000.00 for academic achievement to be awarded in J uly 2014 just prior to thebeginning 2014-2015 school year. Eligibility for this award are as follows:

1. You must be a descendant of J ohn or Tommie Diggs2. You must be enrolled in school during the 2013-2014 school year3. You must complete & return the scholarship application before J une 2014

a) the application is currently under development

Phase 4: Develop the foundation

We will need legalize the foundation and develop an organizational structure,elect officers to represent each region, state or city charged with the task ofpromoting the foundation and develop a vision for the foundations future

Phase 5: Funding

We must develop a way to fund the foundation using contributions, donationsand fund raisers. As stated in phase 3, I will fund the Scholarship awards for2013-2014 and maybe for 2014-2015 if I receive enough family participation.
