• Revelation 1:4-6 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be

The Law of First Mention

The "law of first-mention" is the principle in the interpretation of

Scripture which states that the first mention or occurrence of a subject

in Scripture establishes an unchangeable pattern, with that

subject remaining unchanged in the mind of God throughout Scripture. 

•Habakkuk 2:15 Woe unto him that giveth his

neighbour drink, that puttest thy bottle to

him, and makest him drunken also, that thou mayest look on their

nakedness!
