ISD #535 District RulesAll students much obey the federal and school district law regarding copyrights. Always include citations to protect yourself against plagiarism. Students are expected to go to appropriate websites.When doing online activities, students are expected to use polite and appropriate language. Students are not allowed to buy or sell on district computers.Using an account of another person for any reason is not allowed.Students are not allowed to accessing games, chat roomsAfter asking permission, students may only use personal email if it is to access homework.

What happens if I break the rules?
Breaking these rules may be considered a criminal offense. Violations may result in the losing computer privileges, a meeting and disciplinary action from administration and/or appropriate legal action. The building administrators have the right to lock a student out of their account if they are misusing or breaking technology rules.The building administrators will deem what is inappropriate use.

After Training
Pass the Quiz
Get a “Technology Resources User Agreement and Parent Permission Form for Rochester Public Schools.”
Return the form to Mrs. Olsen
Get a “www” sticker for your ID.
This is good until you graduate.
When not with a class, show your ID/ “www” sticker to lab staff before working on a computer.
After getting your ‘WWW’ sicker…Computer Lab & Library Policy
Sign in at the deskShow staff your ID card/’www’ sticker (students with a sticker are able to use the computer outside of class) Pick up a computer number (in the library)Attach number to computer (in the library)Use computer/internet for educational purposes only
