aBOUT THE aUTHORJohn Breslin SC is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin and Christ’s College, Cambridge. He is a barrister practising in the chancery and commercial areas and has acted in a number of high-profile cases, including the first company law case to go to the European Court of Justice under the EU Insolvency Regulation. He has contributed to a large number of Irish, UK and international periodicals on issues relating to banking, financial services and corporate law. John has also contributed papers to the Law Society, the Irish Centre for Commercial Law, and Jesus College, Cambridge Conference on Commercial Crime.
