KAIROS COURSE 2019 The English Presbytery Missions Committee is organising the Kairos Course, a nine-session interactive course that challenges Christians to participate in Missions. The course will take place over 8 Tuesdays in March and April (5, 12, 19, 26 Mar & 2, 9, 16, 23 Apr; 7:15pm—10pm) and 1 Saturday in May (4 May; 9am—5pm) at Orchard Road Presbyterian Church. Publicity flyers and registration forms are also available at the WIC. Registration closes on 17 Feb 2019. COMBINED CHURCH CAMP—”ONE: DISCOVERING THE JOY OF UNITY” Dates: 21—24 Jun 2019 (Fri—Mon). Venue: Renaissance Hotel, Johor Bahru. Speaker: Ps Christopher Chia (Senior Pastor, Adam Road Presbyterian Church). Cost: $350 (adults), $290 (children under 12 years old). Children under 4 years old register for free. Registration is open till 31 May. CONGRATULATIONS to Greg and Suanne Low as they were blessed with their second daughter, Hara, on 29 Jan 2019. Praise God that Hara went through a successful heart surgery two days later. STAFF AWAY Pr Daniel Lee is on leave till 10 Feb. Rosalind Choo will be on leave from 7 to 17 Feb. SHARING OF TESTIMONIES AND SONGS In our daily walk with Christ, we may encounter a praise item/joy or struggle and we may like to share this with the church through a testimony, song, dance, poem or other means. We want to provide this platform for all. This sharing can be done individually or as a group. A sign-up form will be available at the WIC or, if you prefer, you can inform your CGL or a church leader. CONFIRMATION OF PS KOH CHIN GAY Ps Chin Gay has completed his probationary period in the Pastoral Team (effective 15 Jan 2019). The EDC extend our congratulations to him in having served well with us during his period of probation. The leadership had written to the English Presbytery, Preachers and Personnel Committee to consider Ps Chin Gay as our Probationary Preacher. Upon successful completion in a year's time, Ps Chin Gay will be a full-fledged Preacher with the EP of the Presbyterian Church in Singapore. CHRISTIAN EDUCATION: FAITH FOUNDATIONS, BEGINNING 10 FEB 2019, 3:30—4:30PM, MANGIS HALL This series of classes aims to lay the foundation for the biblical basis of our faith and Christian living. It will enable us to explain our understanding of the gospel in a concise and effective way to our non-believing friends. It is also an excellent newcomers’ class if we have visitors in our church. Finally, it teaches mature believers what the essence of the Gospel is and why we need to preach it.
