The Renaissance•The University of Krakow was recognized as a cosmopolitancenter for learning

Industrial Revolution•Poland formed a whole with Russia in trade.

•Textile factories were formed, along with railroads, as therewas a large demand for Polish products.

•Agriculture changed. Landowners hired laborers and boughtmachines, rather then do it themselves.

WW1

•After WW1, Poles had hopes for a sovereign Poland, so theyprepared for an uprising.

•When the uprising took place, it replaced the German monarchywith the Weimar Republic.

•It is considered as the greatest Polish uprising.

•During WW2, Poland had plans to expel the Germans.

•After long, relentless battles, Poland took back Warsaw

•Nicolaus Copernicus- the first astronomer that had a theory where the Earth was not the center of the universe

•He revolutionized the universe as we know it, called the Copernicus Revolution.

•He was also a mathematician, a governor, and an economist
