JobsEQ Reports for Workforce Excellence Application
The Resource Center can provide some of the data you need for your application to be designated a Center for Workforce Excellence. Samples of each of these reports are included. While these sample reports cover the entire state, reports can be customized for your region by technology center district, city, county/counties, or ZIP code(s). Other reports are also available if there is additional data you need. Contact Tracy Boyington at [email protected] to get free reports customized for your own region.
Data about existing educational footprint for region being served Existing pathways in local education and training opportunities for region being served in the identified ecosystem
Awards Report – This report can list all awards (certificates and degrees) for an occupation or for a group of occupations in a particular region in the previous academic year. It can also list all awards given by a particular institution in the previous academic year, to show the education and training opportunities offered beyond your own institution.
Education Report – This report provides information about a particular program in a specified region. Relevant data available in this report:• Awards – Number of certificates and degrees granted throughout the region in the previous
academic year, by school• Occupation Crosswalk – A table listing occupations linked with the program,
education/experience requirements for entry, and typical education/training attainment of those in the occupation.
• Occupation Details – This report lists current employment/unemployment numbers, average wages, and historical/predicted employment.
• Employment by Industry – A list of the current and predicted employment in specific industries that employ occupations linked to this program.
Note that both the Awards Report and Education Report only include programs that have a CIP code. This rules out some CareerTech programs, particularly short-term. These reports include data from any school/program that reports to the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), i.e., any school participating in Title IV financial assistance, and are not limited to CareerTech or not-for-profit schools. Training providers that do not report data to the NCES are not included.
Data about workforce supply and demand—labor market alignment Data about local/regional workforce development needs and plans
Occupation Snapshot – Describes a region's mix of occupations with information includingcurrent employment/unemployment numbers, average wages, historical employment, andpredicted growth.
Award Gaps Report – This analytic shows the difference between the number of awards(postsecondary degrees or certificates) awarded and the occupation demand in a particularregion, indicating any projected shortage or surplus.
JobsEQ Reports for Workforce Excellence Application - 1

This report canshow the potential surplus and shortage of employees in occupations by SOC code, ranging frombroad (i.e., Healthcare Practitioners and Technical Occupations) to detailed (i.e., RespiratoryTherapists).
What-if Report – This analytic describes the labor availability of a region based on an incomingindustry, or the impact on the labor market of a region if an industry/employer reduces its staffor shuts down.

2. Wage data are as of 2018 and represent the average for all Covered Employment
3. Data represent found online ads active within the last thirty days in the selected region; data represents a sampling rather than the complete universe of postings. Ads lacking zip code information but designating a
place (city, town, etc.) may be assigned to the zip code with greatest employment in that place for queries in this analytic. Due to alternative county-assignment algorithms, ad counts in this analytic may not match
that shown in RTI (nor in the popup window ad list).
Occupation employment data are estimated via industry employment data and the industry/occupation mix. Industry employment data are derived from the Quarterly Census of Employment and
Wages, provided by the Bureau of Labor Statistics and currently updated through 2019Q2, imputed where necessary with preliminary estimates updated to 2019Q4. Wages by occupation are as of
2018 provided by the BLS and imputed where necessary. Forecast employment growth uses national projections from the Bureau of Labor Statistics adapted for regional growth patterns. Occupation
