A Check the door to determine swing; the number, type, and location of locking devices; and the

type of door frame and hinges.

B Create a gap between the door and jamb by driving the adz or fork end of the Halligan tool

between the door and frame 6 inches above or below the lock.

C On tight doors, the gap maybe started with the fork end.

D If door is tight, work tool up and down to open up gap.

E Set the tool by driving the adz or forkend past the door around the doorstop.
