(B) Applied and Industrial Statistics courses likeOperations Research, Design of Experiments,

Planning and

Analysis of Industrial Experiments, Econometrics

(C ) Job orientation:

(a) Computer Courses: The students get avery good exposure to computers and packages

that enables them to get good jobsProgramming in C,C++ . Practicals are done

through computer programsMicrosoft Word ( DOE O level Word Processing

complete course ), Microsoft Excel

Software packages: SPSS, minitab

(b) Projects:Students have two one-semester projects in industries or

theoretical projects as part of their syllabus. Apart from
