Job DescriptionRequirements & AbilitiesMcGill Conservatory Day Camp is held at the Schulich School of Music McGill University downtown Montreal. It

offers a varied artistic experience where campers (ages 5 and up) are introduced to music, performances arts &

visual arts, all culminating in a performance for parents and friends.

-Take part in the creation of Music Camp

workshops (music history, rhythm, games);

- Program and lead music history

workshops adapted to each age group;

- Arrange group lessons with the other

camp workshops and integrate them in

each End-of-Camp show;

-Assist Camp counsellors during the lunch

time, theme days and other special

activities;

-With the help of the other workshop

leaders, prepare the End-of Camp concert.

-Availability: June 25 to August 10 (4 wks,

possibility of 6, depend on enrollment),

-Mon. to Fri. 8:15 am to 4:30 pm, from 4:30

pm to 7 p.m. on Concert days;,

-Mandatory paid training in June

- English and french spoken;

- Age 18 years or older; -

-Experience in day camps and in

teaching music (piano, percussions, strings) to

children, group & individual lessons

-Good conflict management and judgement in

decision making;- Approachs unforeseen

situations in a good- humoured way; - Work

well in a group setting;

- Valid First Aid certificate (8 hours min.);

- Good communication skills and outgoing

personality.
