Several Nights Around London is a series of short stories-cum-guidebook of London’s nightlife. A teaser campaign consisting of 400 handmade matchboxes was developed, exhibited, and given away to attendants of the Made in E1: Cass Postgraduate Show to promote the book. Received with positive feedback, by the end of show only 29 matchboxes remained.

The brief was to design a piece that “took the audience on a journey they’ve never been before around London.” I heard what you said is a book of my journey eavesdropping on people’s conversations in public places throughout the city. To promote the book a DVD containing a two minute teaser video was created that included a concept video and still photographs from the book. Artwork was kept understated to convey the unassuming eavesdropper and the photographs taken in changing rooms of the eavesdropper’s feet corresponded with voyeurism as a subject.

The brief was to design a concept that encouraged a younger market to use public transportation. One of the concepts pitched was the TfL City Adventure game, a location based mobile application, that lets someone explore London with help from public transportation and a GPS navigation system. Promotional giveaway Oyster Card wallets were also designed.

The cafe Apostrophe held a competition for artwork to be displayed on the window of one of their 11 locations. The concept was to bring Christmas cheer to a busy urban community with eye-catching typography that spreads the message Apostrophe cafes are for connecting. Three designs were handmade first to give a personal Christmas card feel, then were digitally illustrated afterwards. This one was called Apostrophe additions. Results are yet to be announced.
