INTRODUCTION: INTRODUCTION: • In an effort to field strong, experienced

teams and to help mentor young players,USA Basketball founded the Junior NationalTeam program (formerly known as the Developmental National Team) in 2009.

• The JNT encompasses all USA Basketballmen’s high school-age teams and trainingcamps, including teams competing in theFIBA Americas U16 Championship, the FIBAU17 World Championship, the FIBA Americas U18 Championship, the NikeHoop Summit and 3x3 U18 national teams.

• JNT training camps are held at least twicea year, typically in October and June.

• Whether they make a 12-member roster,attend camp or play in the Nike HoopSummit, JNT players improve their leadership, teamwork and skill set.

to a gold medal at the FIBA Americas U16 Championship, will return for his eighth-straightsummer with USA Basketball as head coach of the 2016 USA U17s. Also selected to remain on staff after assisting the 2015 USA U16s to a gold medal and a berth in the2016 U17 World Championship are prep head coaches Miles Simon (California SupremeAAU) and Sharman White (Miller Grove H.S., Ga.).

• Three-time U17 World Championship gold medalists, the USA will look to defend its titleJune 23-July 3 in Zaragoza, Spain.
