Roller Specification JMA carry a large range of rollers to suit most conveying applications. This enables the customer to receive the most cost-effective solution. Installations include coal, gold, platinum, diamond and copper mines, cargo loading terminals and long high capacity conveyors throughout Australia. The grease-free labyrinth seals ensure that bearings are able to achieve the design life, running in much lower friction values than conventional designs.

JMA manufactory capacity to produce over 500,000 conveyor idlers per annum customized to suit most specifications and requirements.

Idler Construction Roller Tube The tube is cut from C250 – C350 Range tube using prime quality steel as per AS 1450, GB/T 13792, and other equivalent standards for conveyor tubing. Each shell end is precision machined to fit the bearing housing to ensure concentricity. Bearing Housing The bearing housing is fabricated from ASNZ 1594. The fabrication of the bearing housing consists of a multi-stage precision automatic pressing operation, which provides such a high degree of accuracy for bearing and seal location that no further machining is necessary. The bearing housing are chemically degreased after manufacture. The Roller shell and bearing housing are 3mm CF fully fillet welded in a special double-ended automatic circumferential welding machine that provides a min. 80% weld penetration and ensures that the shell tubing is concentric at the ends during the welding process, the acceptance criteria is ASNZ 1554.1 GP, (SP is applicable). The Welder Performance Qualification [WPQ] is as per BS EN 287.1. All welds are smooth and free from imperfections. Shaft The shaft is cold drawn mild steel in according JIS-G3123 SGD 3 and other equivalent standards. Machined for step-down for bearing fitting is according to ASNZ3679. Particular attention is

given to the bearing sea machining and seal location. The shaft end also chamfered on the edges. Shaft retention is positive using circlips at both ends to prevent the shell from axial movement. This allows the rollers to be installed in the wing location in any orientation without fear of movement. Roller Bearing Rollers are fitted with deep groove ball bearing C3 with anti-dust cover, unless otherwise specified. The bearings are factory greased for lifelong, which offers min. roller drag and max. resistance to water wash out. Labyrinth Seal JMA labyrinth Seal provides the premium protection on the external and internal inside of the roller greased with Lithium Base lubricants that keep any foreign materials in. Roller & Frame Coating Protection The roller both ends are sprayed with two coat of standard enamel paint and the tube is coated with anti-corrosive enamel, which DFT is no less than 85 micrometres (hot dip galvanisation is applicable). Frame and bracket are grit blasted to class 2 ½ and hot dip galvanized, to ASNZS4680 or equivalent GB standard. The galvanisation thickness is no less than 450g/m2 or equivalent electrostatic spray. UHMWPE Roller JMA’s UHMWPE ROLLER adopts 100% genuine new UHMWPE material, no virgin material. And bearing is available from, HRB, SKF, NSK etc. Thanks to high-quality extrusion lines and high-precision machine, each JMA’s UHMWPE roller can meet the quality requirements and ensure the competitiveness of the

product cost.

The properties are high abrasion resistance and loading capability, premium anti-corrosion performance, low rotation resistance and maintenance, long service time, lighter weight, etc, which widely applied in the conveying system of various industries, such as coal, bauxite, iron ore and quarry sites, steel, electricity, chemistry factories, etc.

The abrasion resistance of JMA’s UHMWPE roller is 4-7 times of steel one, or 3-4 times of HDPE one.

The lowest running temperature of JMA’s UHMWPE roller is -50℃ and still keep high impact strength.

JMA’s UHMWPE roller is not only provide high chemical resistance, but also fantastic UV protection.

JMA’s UHMWPE roller offers a smooth, non-wettable interior surface, that accounts for a Hazen-Williams Flow Coefficient of C=160, excellent self-Lubricating.
