The JLUS provides easy and user friendly solutions of complex

technical problems related to Judicial Laptop System.

How to install jlus_v2 (Judicial Laptop Utility Script)?

Steps to install jlus_v2 script are following:

Step 1: login as user root.

Step 2: Download or copy the jlus_v2.tar.gz file on Desktop.

Step 3: Right Click on the jlus_v2.tar.gz and click on Extract Here.

Step 4: Double Click on the jlus_v2 directory and click on jlus_init

file.

Step 5: Click on run button as shown in figure.

Step 6: Installation of JLUS_v2 has been done. Message box appear,

Click on OK button.

Step 7: Now logout from userroot and login as userjudge

So, installation of jlus_v2 has been finished.

-: Function of Mount your Last Data Backup Utility :-

Now it's time to know, how to backup utility work under Judicial LaptopSystem? Please see the picture below.

Button No. 1 Restore entire Last Data Backup.

Button No. 2 Display the time of Last Data Backup.

Button No. 3 Take Data Backup of Judge home.

Order of Button to use for Data Backup and Restore Process:

1) Take Data Backup by clicking Button No. 3.

Caution!!! This function first erase (Delete) last data backup then copynew (present available) data from judge home.

2) Know at what time Last Data Backup has been taken by clicking

button No. 2

3) Restore entire Last Data Backup by clicking button No. 1

But you would be unable to restore backup data after restarting (freshsession) system by using Button No. 1

JLUS _v2 will resolve this problem, follow below steps:

Step 1: Click on JLUS_v2 icon from judge Desktop.

Step 2: Double click on Mount your Last Data Backup Utility.

Step 3:

a) Partition Unlocked Successful message box appear click on OK.

b) Data Backup Mounted Successfully message box appear click on Ok.

b) You will see an icon with Data Backup appear on desktop, so doubleclick on that icon and click on judge folder and see contents of yourbacked up data.

Now you may copy files and folders from mounted backup and paste it tolocation of your choice.

Note: If your purpose of mounting backup has been completed or you wantto take new backup, click again on choice No. 1 of JLUS_v2 so that

shortcut of mounted data backup would be deleted from desktop.

-: Function of Restore Panel Utility :-

If Panel has been removed from desktop then you can restore panel by

clicking on choice No. 2 of JLUS_V2 menu.

Now, you will see Panel has been Restore Successfully!!.................

-: Function of View Memory Status Utility :-

To view the status of amount of memory (both RAM and Hard Disk space)

click on choice No. 3 of JLUS_v2 menu.

-: Function of Enable LUKS passphrase prompting Utility :-

If Judicial Laptop System not prompts (ask) passphrase at booting time of

System, the main reason of this problem is corrupted snap backup or snap

volume full up to 100%. If either condition occur snap backup no longer be

useable.

You can enable LUKS passphrase prompting by clicking choice No. 4of JLUS_V2 menu.

Note: If there is no such problem related to passphrase JLUS_

v2 utility will display error message Passphrase have been prompting,

kindly check it, again at booting time else LUKS Passphrase prompting

enabling for your system message will display.

-: Function of Create Additional Passphrase Utility :-

If you want to create additional passphrase (Maximum 8) for Judicial

Laptop System, Kindly follow below steps:

Step 1: Click on choice No. 5 of JLUS_v2 menu.

Step 2: Type new passphrase and press enter.

Step 3:Again Type new passphrase for verification.

Step 4: Additional Passphrase has been created successfullymessage will appear.

-: Function of Manage the integrity file Utility :-

If you have created file and want to transfer this file to another user withoutany change in file contents or want to check whether file has been

corrupted or not ?

JLUS_v2 have solution to manage integrity of file. You can use this featureby clicking on choice No. 6 of jlus_v2 menu.

Select Generate integrity code from menu.

Select file for which you want to generate hash value.

Now Message box will appear to show hash value of selected file and file

with md5 extension also created, which will be very useful to verify the

integrity of file by choosing the check integrity of File Feature from jlus_v2.

Select the md5 extension file for file which you want to check integrity.

If file have no change after generating hash code then message will appear

The integrity of file has been correct!!

If File has been modified after generating hash code or

corrupted due to any reason then message will appear The integrity of

file has been incorrect!!

-: Function of Install Additional Fonts Utility :-

To install additional fonts on Judicial Laptop System,First copy the directory on desktop which contents additional

fonts then follow below steps:

Step 1: Click on choice No. 7 of JLUS_v2 menu.

Step 2: Select the directory which contents additional fonts then click onOK button.

Step 3: Fonts have been installed successfully message box appear.

Now you may use installed fonts for open office application.

-: Function of Cancel Printing Jobs Utility :-

If you are unable to cancel print job by normal print queue application andurgent need to cancel job forcefully, so under this condition select choice

No. 8 of JLUS_v2.

-: Function of Clean contents of Temporary Folder Utility :-

The /tmp directory contains mostly files that are required temporarily. Manyprograms use this to create lock files and for temporary storage of data.Many of these files are important for currently running programs anddeleting them may result in a system crash.

But some times this directory content more temporary files whichcause slow down the system even user unable to login the system. Underthis condition select choice No. 9 of JLUS_v2.

Caution!!! Close all the open or running application before using thisfunction of JLUS_V2
