What are your strengths? Weaknesses? (03/15/2009)

I am a confident business professional with a proven track

record for delivering results. I have a positive attitude and

usually a smile in my voice and on my face. I strive to not

simply meet expectations but to exceed them. As a manager

or leader, realize that our end results are so much stronger

when the team succeeds, not simply the success of individual

team members.

Describe your ideal work environment. (03/15/2009)

There are certain words that are evocative of my ideal work

environment or company culture. They include - customer-

focus, balanced, empowering, innovating, socially-responsible,

proactive, cooperative, and transparent.

Interview

What are you most passionate about? (03/15/2009)

People. Whether it be at work, in the community, or at home -

I believe in empowering people to grow and achieve. As a

manager or co-worker that means taking the extra time or

sharing ideas/knowledge in order for the entire time to be

successful.

What did you learn from your previous job? (03/15/2009)

That I like to work for a company whose focus usually

extends outwards towards the customer and the community

(social responsibility). My previous position taught me that as

much as I want to spend my time planning for the future, you

still need at least one of your toe dipped in what's going on

with the business right now.

How would your co-workers describe you? (03/15/2009)

UnitedHealthcare‟s Vice President of Marketing, Sharon Rask

said this about my work on her team. “Jim „s a person who

works to bring people together to determine the best

marketing approaches. As a liaison between field and

corporate, he has the job of balancing priorities and making

recommendations that will bring the most value. He works

well with people to get that tough job done and brings his

expertise to bear on the situation.”

Why did you choose this career? (03/15/2009)

Working in marketing and communications allows me to

utilize my strong business ability alongside my creative

mindset to develop innovative strategies to achieve significant

results.
