JFS Senior Solutions supports older adults so that they can continue to live safely and independently in their own homes. Our expert staff of geriatric professionals is focused on providing a continuum of care that enhances seniors’ well-being and ensures that they are not isolated or alone.

Serving Denver and Boulder, we offer a full range of programs, including care management, homemaker services, counseling, educational and recreational activities, companionship, socialization, and religious services that help older adults stay healthy, active, and engaged.

JFS at Home is a fee-based service for seniors and those with physical disabilities that provides quality homecare services, allowing people to continue to live independently at home. JFS at Home services range from a few hours a week to 24/7 care.

Jewish Family Service provides mental health services to help people improve their quality of life and achieve a greater sense of emotional wellness and stability. Our team of skilled therapists provides quality counseling to children, adolescents, adults, and seniors with the goal of helping people grow and change. In addition, we offer mental health services to refugees to help them adjust to life in Colorado. Our agency is committed to making quality mental health therapy accessible to all people.

The JFS Counseling Center is a trusted resource for high-quality therapy and support. We offer individual, couples, and family counseling in a private and confidential setting. Our therapists help people deal with feelings of anxiety, depression, marital issues, parenting concerns, post-traumatic stress, grief, and low self-esteem. Our goal is to strengthen people’s ability to problem-solve and move forward in their relationships and lives.

Our innovative KidSuccess and International KidSuccess programs place trained therapists in area schools, providing children and adolescents access to quality counseling services so they can succeed academically and emotionally.

The JFS Jewish Community Chaplaincy program focuses on providing direct spiritual care to those who are ill, in crisis, or near the end of their lives—in hospitals, nursing homes, mental health institutions, correctional facilities, or at home. This program provides an important Jewish connection to hundreds of isolated members of our community.

MENTAL HEALTH Services

Jewish Family Service offers a variety of services to people with developmental disabilities and others with barriers to employment. Services include advocacy, social interaction, recreation, vocational assessment, training, work experience, job search support, and case management. JFS provides referrals and information that help people with developmental disabilities and their families navigate available community resources and network with each other.

Our SHALOM Denver facility in central Denver trains and employs people with developmental disabilities so they can learn skills and work in the community. SHALOM Denver contracts with local and national companies to provide packaging, mailing, and assembly services. Clients learn valuable work skills and the revenue generated from this social enterprise supports programs for people with special needs.

SHALOM Denver is also working to move people off of welfare and into stable employment by providing work-skills training, internships, and job placement services.

The JFS Group Home provides a warm kosher home environment, ongoing daily life enrichment, and Jewish cultural activities for eight residents with developmental disabilities.

DISABILITY AND EMPLOYMENT Services

JFS provides case management, emergency financial assistance, and food to people in crisis. We help people in need access benefits and additional community resources, and provide case management to help our clients identify and overcome barriers to self-sufficiency. Our goal is to prevent homelessness and help people succeed.

The JFS Emergency Assistance Program provides emergency financial assistance, including rent, utilities, transportation, and medical costs to people in crisis. We help people in need apply for food stamps and access benefits, including Medicaid, health programs, child care, and other programs for low-income households.

The Weinberg Food Pantry distributes food to more than 4,000 low-income households each year. We help the unemployed and under-employed with employment support services.

Volunteers are a vital resource for Jewish Family Service. Their impact is immeasurable, not only for the agency, but for the community as a whole. Volunteers significantly extend the reach of our staff and allow us to fulfill our mission of service to the vulnerable in our community. When you volunteer, you give the most precious gift of all—yourself.

There are a multitude of ways that individuals, organizations, and corporations can help make a difference in the life of just one person or in the well-being of the larger community. We offer flexible volunteer positions that fit into various lifestyles. Join our caring family by giving of yourself.
