UniformYou do not need reminding of the need for students to arrive back in September in full, correct uniform. All students need to wear black shoes, NOT trainers and stay in their full uniform when travelling to and from school.
You can buy the uniform including blazer, tie and PE kit from Clive Marks. You will know from last year that JQA always get special treatment, so last year, our school was the venue for uniform hand out, this year they have agreed to open this Sunday for JQA students and no one else and will be doing discounts.
You are able to buy pale-blue shirts, mid-grey trousers and black shoes from anywhere.
Times of the School DayThe start of the school day will continue to be 8:27am for all students. Any later and your son/daughter will receive a detention for one-hour after school on that day.
End of the day: Year 7 and 8 3:10pmYears 9 and 10 3:00pmYear 11 2:50pm
Following conversations with Parents/Carers, we have slightly changed the end of the school day for different year groups. Hopefully this will mean that you are not waiting around too long if you have children in different year groups and will mean that older children can get to primary schools to collect younger siblings if needed.
There will, of course, continue to be a whole host of extra-curricular clubs, enrichment and other activities on throughout the year
Staff Leaving Can I say thank you for those staff who are leaving us at the end of this academic year, Mr Olney, Miss Bentley, Mr Cameron, Mr Aston, Mr Uddin and Mr Usman and with them the very best with their careers going forward.
We will have a whole host of new staff joining in September as we reach capacity with five-year groups and thank you for those of you who have helped us with recruitment.
Combined Cadet ForceThe school’s Combined Cadet Force, Royal Air Force (RAF) Section will start in September, more information will come out shortly for how your son/daughter can join.
