  • JET LAG PSICO BALLET COMPANY PSICO BALLET MAITE LEÓN FOUNDATION

  • Psico Ballet Maite León Foundation is a private non-profit organization established in 1986. Its work focuses on the complete scenic trai-ning of people with physical, psychological, in-tellectual, developmental and/or sensorial di-versity through its own registered methodology as "Psico Ballet Maite León Method" that inclu-des dance, theater, music, percussion, singing, facial and corporal makeup, for the complete formation of an actor-dancer with diversity. For this, new didactic strategies are used, such as: the development of learning that encoura-ges positive self-perception, self-motivation, creativity, initiative, perseverance, responsibili-ty, autonomy, teamwork, among others.

PBMLF was created by Maite León, dancer, choreographer and mother of a daughter with intellectual disability. Throughout its trajectory PBMLF has trained more than 600 students with diversity and more than 2,000 professio-nals in the field of special education and per-forming arts. The shows have been performed in Europe, United States and Canada, being seen by more than 1,000,000 spectators. PBMLF is member of Plena Inclusión (Spanish Confederation of Organizations in favor of Peo-ple with Intellectual Disabilities), International Dance Council (CID-UNESCO), Emprendo Dan-za and FECED (State Federation of dance com-panies).
