Reflections of a Blessed Life
Jesse Scott was born in Newbern, Alabama on April 8, 1925 to
the parents of John Wesley Scott and Emma Watt. He was the
second child of five.
Jesse entered the United States Army, September 1944, where he
served with the 4494th Quatermastes Service Company in Manila
Philippine Islands until November 1946.
Jesse graduated from Hale County Training School in May 1950. In
April of 1956, he married Bertha Lee Daniels and moved to
Cincinnati, Ohio, where he became a member of New Hope Baptist
Church and retired from Gibson Greeting Card Company after 20
plus years of service.
Jesse was a dedicated husband and father who loved and enjoyed his
children and grandchildren.
Jesse went home to be with the Lord on October 3, 2015. He was
preceded by his wife Bertha Scott and one sister, Sally Green. He
leaves to cherish his memory: his daughters, Janet Scott, Yolanda
Graham (Rev. Kenneth), Kimberly Bullocks); five grandchildren,
Russell C. Hunter Jr., Kenneth W. Graham II, Jonathan P. Taylor,
Yadiah S. Graham and Sylvester Bullocks III; three sisters, Matilda
Aaron, Mary E. Scott and Ollie B. Scott, and a host of nieces,
nephews and cousins.
Well done thy good and faithful servant. Enter now into your rest
and joy ever after.
