    Biography of Wayne KeonWayne Keon was born in 1946 in Pembroke, Ontario. His father,

    Orville Keon worked at Denison Mines in Elliot Lake, where Keon grewup. Although his father only had a 6th grade education, he was a skilledstoryteller and presented the young Keon with a gift of the complete

    works of W. B. Yeats. Even since he was twelve years old, Keon wrote.Keon earned a business administration degree from the Northern

    Institute of Technology in Kirkland Lake, Ontario in 1969. He has abackground as a financial analyst. He worked for Rio Algom, Ltd. and

    was able to travel extensive including to South America. The companyencourages Keon's writing and has given their South Americancolleagues studying English copies of his books.

    Keon has read his poetry in Canada, the United States, andthroughout Europe. Currently, he lives in Richmond Hill, Ontario.His work is characterized by his enigmatic and unique spelling, forinstance, "nd" instead of "and.

    The tone of the poem is anger, the author writes very angrily andfiercely towards the topic of how when something happens to

    aboriginal people, people just forget about it, but when it happens

    to normal white society people make a big deal out of it.

    The theme of the poem is revenge. Revenge is shownthroughout the poem, such as when the author writestherell just be medicine wheels and dream catcherrings everywhere and blow-outs thatll start to makeoklahoma look like a saturday afternoon tea andnostalgia to get back to something less onerous like

    maybe the little big horn lyin in the dust. This shoesthat he wants to get a back at someone or somethingfor something that had happened in the past.
