Requirements on investments in fiber-optic networks
The revised TKG novel includes some good points and proper approaches but
efforts must be made to implement a nationwide broadband rollout
• Cooperations must be simplifed
• Regulations must be abolished where no
market power or monopoly exists
• A development program must be set up by
the Federal Government. Similar programs
exist in some federal states of Germany
• Tax incentives for investments in fiber optics
must be introduced
• The regulatory period must be extended
