Young Jeezy Shoots Down Rumors Of Beef With Rick RossWhile Young Jeezy was visiting MTV's RapFix Live to talk about hisupcoming fourth solo album, Thug Motivation 103: Hustlerz

Ambition, he explained that although there were subliminal shots andapparent friction between he and Rick Ross, there was never anyactual beef. "With rap, it's a funny thing. You can say things, andpeople can take 'em the way they wanna take 'em," Jeezy said,addressing "Death B4 Dishonor," the song said to be the reply to RickRoss' "B.M.F." Where Young Jeezy is noted for taking subliminal jabs

Lil' Boosie And C-Murder Joining ForcesLil' Boosie and C-Murder are both incarcerated at Angola Prison, and the pair are communicating andsupporting one another as they both fight for their freedom. C-Murder is waiting for a verdict onwhether or not he will be granted a third appeal for allegedly murdering a 16 year old at a night club inLouisiana. While Lil' Boosie was recently sentenced to 8 years for attempting to smuggle drugs into

Angola, as he awaits his trial on a 1st degree murder charge. Angola, which is the largest maximumsecurity prison in the United States, houses 5,000 inmates and is surrounded on three sides, bythe Mississippi River in eastern Louisiana. The jail is also known as the "Alcatraz of the South." WhileLil' Boosie and C-Murder haven't seen each other directly, they have communicated throughmessages and have been keeping in touch with one another.

Kanye West A Favorite At The GrammysIt has been reported that Kanye West leads all artists for the 2012Grammy Awards, with a total of seven nominations. Two albums byKanye West are in the running for Rap Album of the Year, including hisreleases "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" and his collaborative

effort with Jay-Z, "Watch The Throne." Adele is tied with the FooFighters and Bruno Mars with six nominations, while Lil' Wayne andSkrillex each received five nominations. New artist J. Lawsuit Against Plies & His BrotherSouth Florida rapper Plies is at the center of a $10,000 lawsuit involving anightclub shooting in July of 2006. According to the lawsuit, five of the

plaintiffs were injured during a shooting, which occured at West Nightclub inGainesville, Florida. Plies also known as Algernod Washington and his brotherRonell "Big Gates" Levatte allegedly fired their guns into the crowd during adispute over their stage time, before their performance. The two brothers arealso being accused of hiring bodyguards, who are also accused of participatingin the shooting. "The plaintiffs' claims against my client continue to be without

merit, we look forward to having this resolved in a court of justice," Plies'defense attorney, Robert A. Rush of the law firm of Rush & Glassman in

R.I.P. Patrice O' Neil41 year old actor and comedian Patrice O' Neil, diedon November 28th after complications stemming

from a stroke he suffered in October. O' Neil, who hadalso been battling diabetes for a number of years, wasone of the comedians behind the Comedy CentralRoasts that take place every year. Known for hiswitty and sometimes dark, yet very playful humor, O'Neil is a talent that often times did not have a

Most recently, O' Neilparticipated in the Comedy Central Roast of CharlieSheen which was one of the most watched specials in

B.G. ArrestedNew Orleans rapper and ex-Cash Money member B.G. islooking at 40 years in prison after pleading guilty to gun andwitness tampering charges on December 7th. B.G. realname Christopher Dorsey, pleaded guilty to being a felon in

possession of a firearm and witness tampering charges,although prosecutors refused to offer B.G. any type of aplea deal. B.G. acknowledged that he was the owner ofseveral guns that were confiscated from a stolen vehicle,during a traffic stop in November of 2009. In addition toB.G., 27 year old Jerod Fedison and 17 year old Demounde

Pollard, were also charged in the case. Police are claimingthat B.G. and Fedison, who are both convicted felons,pressured Pollard into taking the gun charges, due to hisclean criminal record. In May, B.G. was arrested for his rolein persuading Pollard to claim ownership of the guns, which iswhy he is being charged with witness tampering. Fedison

recently pleaded guilty to gun and witness tamperingcharges as well and was sentenced to 20 years in prison.Pollard reportedly cooperated with authorities and receiveda 30 month sentence. B.G. however, is looking at 40 years inprison, when he is sentenced on March 14.

40 Glocc In Trouble With The Law AgainWest coast rapper 40 Glocc was arrested again. This time ondomestic violence charges, after he allegedly attacked his girlfriendin October. 40 was recently arrested in Las Vegas, for allegedlyassaulting a woman three different times in one day. According to

TMZ.com, 40 accused his girlfriend of "playing him" and struck herseveral times in the face, head and body. In addition to the beating,40 is also accused of choking the woman several times, to thepoint that she could not breathe. When 40 Glocc fell asleep, theunidentified woman called 911 and police arrived. According tothe police report, the officers noted bruises and swelling around

the woman's face, neck and body area and promptly arrested 40Glocc. The woman also claims that 40 has been abusing her for ayear now, in incidents that include assault. In one altercation, thewoman claimed she was beaten, handcuffed and placed in the trunkof a car. The woman said she never went to police, because she wasscared 40 would have killed her. 40 Glocc was charged with

domestic battery by strangulation and coercion by force.Although, TMZ.com reports that 40 is still behind bars, the rapperwas on his twitter account early this morning, stating that he wasa free man in the Bronx, filming a new video. Rumor Has It...Fat Joe Says Gay Rappers Should Come Out TheClosetAccording to Advocate.com,Rapper Fat Joe,

who's performed with Jennifer Lopez, Diddy, andNas, says there are powerful gays running hip-hopand it would be a better world if they just cameout. In an interview on Vlad TV, the 41 year oldperformer spoke candidly about the closet andhip-hop. He says there are gay people everywhere,

especially in the music industry and hip hop's gayleaders do the world an injustice by not being out.He also says Lady Gaga found success byembracing LGBT rights, so being gay or gay-friendly is not something to be feared. InSeptember, rapper The Game basically said the

saying the reports are completely false, therumors r saying that Kartel, real nameAdijah Palmer, had made a daring escapefrom the New Verizon Adult Remand Centre.Kartel and seven other inmates held guardshostage, stole their uniforms and fled in a

M.K- I'm based in the Upstate NY areaJAS: How long have you been with your band Vampire Banquet?M.K.- The Banquet was formed a little over a year ago...I had decidedto do a solo project that would be somewhat different from the music

I was doing with my band Cellar Dweller. I felt the need to expand a bit musically andexplore some things I'd been wanting to do for awhile. The first project " Food forthought" went far better than anticipated..thus the follow up " Sins of the Flesh"JAS: Who would you say are your influences in the in the world of rock?

M.K- I actually have a WIDE and very diverserange of influences depending upon styles.I'm actually influenced more by poets than musicians but I feel you can learn from allmusic. My favorites in the rock Genre are Danzig, Rob Zombie Alice Cooper but I also love

Tom Waits, Motorhead, Ramones, 45 grave, Misfits, lots of metal, punk, new wave, goth,industrial & pop stuff..even a few country artists.JAS: Is there anyone you would like to rock out with?M.K.-Not really...I find that I'm very private in my work...in the sense that I don't like to "share" itscreation. It would be like letting someone else give birth to your child. As far as just "jamming"goes..a total waste of time & energy and usually just an excuse to show off or party. I think maybe

the Hippies invented it. Do people even do that anymore? I admire other artists but I don't want

to be them nor do I want to share my music with them as far as creating it goes

I find the lyrics of a song often decide what is " Hard" or " Dark"

much more than some loud guitar effect or chord progression. Another that should be addressedthough is that Vampire Banquets music is laced with underlying messages that are Satanic innature. I've FORGOTTON more about Satanism than most of these Black metal bands everknew..and while there are certainly underlying messages within the lyrics..they are not Satanic innature..not everything dark is the work of the Devil...trust me.JAS: Tell us something you would love us to know about the band in itself?

M.K.-When you listen to it...listen very close. The melody may divert your attentionsometimes..but read between the lines and you'll find the deeper you dig into the lyrics...the moreyou will understand..... For those who just want to rock out, or dance, or sing along..that's great..Ihope you'll find what you are looking for in the music & enjoy it..for those who want to take thetime to look within...you'll find a lot more than you expect waiting there for you..you are the poets,the brethren, the seekers of that which hides within our souls...kindred spirits so to speak..

JAS: So what's next for Vampire Banquet?M.K-The next CD..and this is the very first time its been mentioned anywhere...will startwork in late Feb 2012. It will be called " Caberet Macabre" and will be somewhat of aconcept projectI have about 16 songs written now and will be recording at least 20 before cutting the

CD down to 13 or 14 tracks.I hope to make this a very unique and interesting musical excursion into the darkest

places of your mind

Long Distance Relationships, Can They Last?He Said: First off, I want to just start off by saying that there are always exceptions to the rule.

However, for the most part I don't think this kind of relationship can work. Depending on the origin ofthese relationships is what determines on how long they last. Another very important factor is howoften the couples see one another. If they are in pretty frequent contact then I see it having a betterchance of survival. If the couple is far away from one another and they can only see each other once ortwice a year, then cheating will definitely be in the picture. Now can they accept that from theirpartner?

Gods and Goddess CentralAlcyone Kingfisher Goddess (Goddess of the Sea, the Moon, Calm,and Tranquility)In Greek mythology, Alcyone (Ancient Greek: Halkyn) was the daughter of Aeolus,

either by Enarete or Aegiale. She married Ceyx, son of Eosphorus, the Morning Star.They were very happy together in Trachis, and according to Pseudo-Apollodorus's account, oftensacrilegiously called each other "Zeus" and "Hera".[1] This angered Zeus, so while Ceyx was at sea(going to consult an oracle according to Ovid's account), the god threw a thunderbolt at his ship.Soon after, Morpheus (God of Dreams) disguised as Ceyx appeared to Alcyone as an apparition totell her of his fate, and she threw herself into the sea in her grief. Out of compassion, the godschanged them both into halcyon birds, named after her.Ovid[2] and Hyginus[3] both also recount the metamorphosis of the pair in and after Ceyx's lossin a terrible storm, though they both omit Ceyx and Alcyone calling each other Zeus and Hera (andZeus's resulting anger) as a reason for it. Ovid also adds the detail of her seeing his body washedup onshore before her attempted suicide.Ovid and Hyginus both also make the metamorphosis the origin of the etymology for "halcyondays," the seven days in winter when storms never occur. They state that these were originallythe seven days each year (either side of the shortest day of the year) during which Alcyone (as akingfisher) laid her eggs and made her nest on the beach and during which her father Aeolus, god ofthe winds, restrained the winds and calmed the waves so she could do so in safety. The phrase hassince become a term used to describe a peaceful time generally. Its proper meaning, however, is

that of a lucky break, or a bright interval set in the midst of adversity; just as the days of calmand mild weather are set in the height of winter for the sake of the kingfishers' egglaying.
