What is a jellyfish?• The first name for a jellyfish

was Medusa.

• In 1796, people started calling them Jellyfish because they look like they're made of jelly.

• Don't get confused! Jellyfish aren't really fish. They are plankton.

• People who study jellyfish sometimes call them jellies.

Some jellies make their own lightthe same way fireflies do.

• Did you know? Jellies are 95% water.

• Humans are around 75% water.
