Jeep Wrangler – An Adventurous Steer Jeep Wrangler is a masculine and tough sports utility vehicle from the house of the Italian company Fiat. It was showcased at the Indian Auto Expo 2014 in February and is expected to be on the roads by the end of the year. Fiat has introduced the jeep brand in the country to expand its market share. The Wrangler was initially introduced as a replacement for the conventional CJ series of jeep. The latest generation of this vehicle will be imported from North America and sold in urban cities in India. The typical jeep design with powerful mechanics makes it a fantastic car to drive and it performs incredibly well on all road surfaces. It has an imposing appearance with its huge wheels, rock rails, bumpers, black tail lamp guards, unconventional windows and removable doors and tops. Jeep Wrangler is 3882 mm long and 1872 mm wide with a height of 1801mm. The interiors look rich and are roomy enough to accommodate seven people easily. The seats are well cushioned and there is plenty of headroom and knee space. The foldable seats at the rear ensure ample storage space, apart from the lockable centre console and storage nets on all doors. It has removable carpets and drain plugs so that the car may be washed properly. The Wrangler comes with in-dash music system, steering mounted audio and even cruise control. The car comes equipped with Load Sensing Proportion Valve (LSPV), which provides good braking performance. Jeep Wrangler comes with a powerful 2.8-litre, 4 cylinder diesel engine that generates a greatest power output of 197 bhp and a torque of 460 Nm. The engine is mated with a six speed manual transmission or a five speed automatic transmission. The Wrangler can handle very bad roads and can even do a little off-roading if required.
This generation of the Jeep Wrangler is expected to be priced at around Rs.25 to Rs.32 lakh. The new Wrangler will be competing with Nissan X-Trail, BMW X1 Hyundai Santa Fé and Audi Q3. It would be an apt vehicle for people who tour often and for those who have large families.
