Product Engineer - FISHER Emerson Process Management Asia Pacific Pte Ltd Responsibilities Fisher® field mounted instruments provide monitoring and control to final control devices. Transducers, controllers, volume boosters, solenoids and switches are used to monitor and control flow, temperature, pressure and level variables in the process industry. Since the mid 1990s, digital valve controllers use microprocessors and have become the dominant replacement technology for conventional and electro-pneumatic positioners. Fisher® FIELDVUE™ digital valve controllers integrate functionality far beyond the traditional analog or pneumatic positioner to enable the availability of equipment alerts to notify the user of pending issues, automated configuration, calibration and tuning , and access to advanced levels of valve assembly diagnostics. This provides consistent and predictable knowledge of valve assembly performance and condition regardless who performs the task. You will be primarily responsible for Field Instrument product family and accessories. Specifically responsible for all products support, design improvement and test.  Develop technical solutions to production, performance and manufacturing yield on Industrial instrumentation products.  Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities; follow through with implementation of design improvements into production.  Troubleshoot product and manufacturing process concerning electronic and mechanical assemblies.  Interact with Supplier base for die cast, plastic, stamped, machined and similar processes to maintain quality, delivery and optimal design for manufacturing standards.  Prepare test plans and test setup in Lab for product performance testing.  Assume overall project and product responsibility for engineering documentation maintenance, including drawings, bill of material specifications, part number setup information and general specifications.  Provide technical product support and expertise to Manu facturing, Sales, Marketing and Customers. Requirements  Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Electronics Engineering or related fields with at least 2 years’ working experience, preferably with product design experience.  Possess strong an alytical, problem solving and d ecision-making skills, and fast paced with self-initiative; have a “hands-on” approach towards work.  Ability to understand mechanical, drawings, understand GD&T.  Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
